Yeah, the original... but come on, you have to figure they created another organization around there somewhere.

Circle of Steel or not, a one man army/spy/scientist is really all it takes. Fallout proved that, Fallout 2 proved that... and arguably Fallout 3.
Well, if Van Buren is anything to go by, then the Brotherhood is either 5 or 6 dudes hiding in the bowels of Maxson Bunker, or a group of facist paranoid schizos like the Nightkin and the Circle are.
Sounds like a fun bunch! Where do I sign up?

What I'm saying though is that you could talk them into becoming something more, something benevolent or malevolent. Where as they are now is merely neutral, perhaps "Chaotic Neutral" but neutral all the same. Or you can show them by force with their delicate psyches that they need to change to become stronger.

Or as a doctor or scientist you can combat their degraded sanity with a new device. There are dozens of way to go about this. You can recruit, you can take charge, you can advise... it just seems a waste of potential to ignore it.

It sounds good, but neither Brotherhood would actually let you within 500 meters without throwing 4.7mm caseless rounds at 40,000 RPM at you...

And we could do the same thing with a bunch of new factions, to show that we don't need to recycle games.

Huh, looks like I got the Enclave slightly intertwined with the brotherhood and confuzzled myself into this. Well anyways thanks for the info :D
You have no idea how many times I've said this stuff over and over. :/
Indeed I don't, maybe you should write a blog on it and link to it whenever someone doesn't get it.

It's why I'm a Vault wiki administrator. Then I've got all of it in a place where everyone can see it. :D

Yeah... I'm just a little partial to the Brotherhood of Steel I guess. Probably will run into them, but they'll probably be trying to run - as you said - as many rounds as possible through me.

But I agree, we can do that with new factions and probably should.

Look on the bright side; the Brotherhood has been confirmed to play a vey minor role in the game.

I'm pretty sure the Enclave will be there but just barely holding on. After all, they lost a lot of ground in Fallout 2 not to mention the Posidon Oil Rig and Navaro. If the Enclave are in there, theres probably not much left of them in the way of logistics and offensive power.

And in the spirit of duchebagery and evilness, the PC should be allowed to join the Enclave this time. If that happens, we can finally slaughter whole villages WITH backup!

Not so minor if they end up imploding my head with whatever tech they've got.

Still, feels good to know that there is a chance I'll able to loot some Power Armor.

The Enclave would never accept you. One of the things that sets the Enclave apart from the other factions is that they're a closed system. The Enclave has been pure since October 23rd, 2077. You wanna kill people, join Caesar's men.

Not all of the Brotherhood had power armor; only paladins. Matt, the head of Brotherhood Intelligence and the most important BoS dude in F2, only had Tesla armor.

Forgot about that... huh, thanks for giving me the heads up.

I think the Enclave will be a minor threat in this game. A side villain, because they're too busy getting their shit together.

Good to know the Enclave isn't going to be the main villain. Now I just have to hope there isn't some Master 2.0 nightkin edition or some other way of using the super mutants as the main antagonist.

They literally have no shit to get together. Enclave holdings were very limited even while the Oil Rig was intact. They had SAC and the Iron Mountain facility to go with Navarro, and maybe NORAD. After Raven Rock and Adams AFB were destroyed, the Enclave has nowhere to go, even if there were any survivors.

Actually, the teaser for Fallout Online has some graffiti that reads "THE MASTER LIVES". :p

Roosevelt Academy's part of the D.C. Wasteland, this is three years after FO3's events, and with the destruction of their main D.C.-area bases, it makes sense that the Enclave's East-Coast remnants would want to regroup with whatever part is still out West. And with Vegas being the last significant city on the continent...yet, not a scrap of info on the Enclave being in the game seems to exist, aside from that Eyebot appearance.
According to the Wiki the DC Enclave was the remnants of the West Coast operations.

There are insurgent Enclave pocket groups all over, but they are not necessarily evil.

They aren't even insurgents, to be honest. If there are any military Enclave survivors, they didn't go east with Autumn Senior and instead were permitted into NCR as refugees.

It is the Fallout tradition to introduce the main antagonist halfway through the game, so yeah it's likely the Enclave will be featured.
Don't forget about the New California Republic.
