Sometimes I see faces, right in front of me. Actually staring into my eyes. They look very real, and while I have them I can't see very well. I get them every so often, but not long enough to bother me, just a few seconds. They're kinda transparent too.

On a more realistic note, I'd wait until the park was empty and try to communicate with it. If it's hostile, I'd leave it alone. If it's neutral or friendly, I might as well have a good chat with it.

Take someone to it and as kif they see it, if they don't touch it. If I don't feel it, down the mental hospital for me! Where ,I'm sure since I'd be mad, the monster will follow me and we will become ever such great friends and go on lots of amazing adventures! All without the hassle of leaving my padded room.

Funny, I'd thought of a situation similar to this some weeks ago. Only instead it followed you around, and when you went home it stood outside the front door waiting.

Anyways, I'd record its behavior, as well as monitor it during the hour it leaves.
If I worked up the courage, I'd throw something at it to see if it has a physical presence.
