I see your Nuketown and raise you Shipment. At least in Nuketown you can't throw a grenade from one side of the map to the other, turning games into a constant death by grenade the exact second you spawn experience.

couldn't agree more. It is also beginning to mystify me how many people won't vote for jungle, which is easily the best map in the game.

I see your Shipment and raise you Rust. It's Rust, it's only good for 3 player no-scope battles, and all battles are won by the team which has the most 'SCAR M203 and SPAS Grip' and Scavenger classes.

For BlOps it is Havana. It's too linear!

For HALO Reach...Spire on BTB or whatever it is in Reach.

I'm also not crazy about Heavy Metal, since, let's face it, the entire match hinges on who captures the AA gun in the middle, and if your teammates refuse to help you get control of it because they'd rather run up the valley walls and snipe at distances they'll always miss from, it's game over. Oh, and Atacama on any mode, because I know I'm in store for a shitload of walking.
Did you add in firing range because nuketown has already been mentioned? at least firing range is a good map, if overplayed. Nuketown is the biggest insult to a gaming community that any publisher has called a map, and it's overplayed. I haven't even seen a lobby pick jungle, easily the best and one of the least played maps in the game, over nuketown. I avoid those lobbies. every single player.

Nuketown if I am playing Sniper, Array if I am playing shotgun/smg, Cracked if I am playing Light Machine Gun (Black Ops).

You know, you really need that flak jacket in Nuketown.
Oh, and pistols should be made less accurate. With second chance and a pistol you can kill someone from the other side of the map.

Also that one map in BC2 thats a bit like karkand, its linear and its the one without the IFV in the middle.

Nuketown from black ops- anyone whos played it knows what I mean
Shipment from cod4- frag grenades for everybody!
Any map in mw2 while playing domination- One team gets all the points the other team is pretty much boned.

MW2 has some decent balance, although I've run the same map 5 times in a row on Team Tactical...
Reach usually doesn't run the same map more than twice in a row, but playing Snipers on PInnacle can rot in hell...

What's your favorite multiplayer titles that suffer from this? I'll start it off with two examples:

Team Fortress 2: 2Fort. God, I hate 2Fort. The battlements are plagued with Snipers, and the entrances to the intel room are narrow chokepoints, perfect for Engineers to turtle with their sentry guns. Because of this, the match frequently ends with a stalemate.

Halo Reach: Sword Base. It mystifies me why this one is so popular, as the map itself is boring as hell. It's just a three story complex made entirely of rectangles and bridges. It's frustrating watching it win the map vote time after time, particularly if there are more interesting maps to choose from like Powerhouse.
To be fair, I think it's popular because it's first alphabetically, and therefore first on the server list when playing. I've changed my server view to look for others quite a bit.

For me it's Biotics Lab in Killing Floor. Too dark, too green and TOO narrow. It's almost as bad as Bedlam. >.>
