I learned that if science can let humans literally breathe fire and shit lightening from Bioshock. I also learned that wiping blood off your face is a great way of healing wounds from CoD.

Also, I learned that food can heal any injury from any RPG ever.

EDIT: Thanks to MW2 I learned that all Russians are evil.

I learned from Doodle God that Beetle + Sand = Scorpion!

Okay, I learned a lot of what I know about mythology from the unit descriptions in Age of Mythology.

No, wait I take that back, I did learn how to play texas hold 'em from a videogame, although I forget which one.
My friend, I do believe you learned how to play Texas Hold'em from GUN. to my knowledge, its the only game with that particular poker game in it.

Also, video games can teach you quite a bit...... depending on realism markers >_>
Nope, never played Gun.
Perhaps it was Casino Empire? That game is how I learned to play Texas Hold'em when I was younger.

I played Civilization when I was eight, and it had explanatory texts for all the technologies. Also, civilizations, cities, leaders.

And quite a lot of my English comes from video games, not being a native speaker.

I learned that if I never need to fight off Zombies, I can use plants and lawnmowers.

That and herbs can heal you. (Apperently they actually can)

I've learned many things from video games, but one of the things I learned that mattered was the use of the English language. Thanks to video games, I'm able to understand 80% of everything said on the internet, and NOT to school.

Well, games taught me English, which is kind of nice.

Another thing that might not have been mentioned yet, would be map reading skills.
A lot of games have maps, minimaps, radars or something similar. So most of us are sort of familiar with the concept, while an everyday person may go a year without ever having to even look at a map.

As an example, I was the only gamer during one NCO camp in the army, and easily beat the shit out of everyone when it came to navigating the woods with a map and compass. I had no trouble figuring out where I was, while other people would run like headless chickens, and often get lost in the woods.
