Whenever she is checking her emails, go up to her, and say, "GET OFF THE MSN".
Or move out.
Thats funny cause I actually check her emails because she gets a lot of these weird scam things and spam and she doesn't know how to tell real from fake.
Don't help her out, in fact, just don't talk to her. Completely ignore her.

And whenever she comes in the room minimize any chat boxes you have up and pretend she's not there.
I mastered alt tabbing when my door creaks a certain way and I can usually hear her on the stairs on the way so I have more time. But lately she's getting smarter and probably wearing sandals or something to keep quiet. She shocks me by opening the door really fast and says that I'm surprised because I was chatting Haha.
Wow, that's depressing, if she does that again, hit her. Hard, she'll learn her lesson.

But seriously, just tell her to mind her own business, if necessary go on a long rant about how she ruined your life from an early age, and hope she breaks down.

(God I'm evil)
Being an asshole and evil are two different things. Asshole is someone who, at a certain time in their life, will get the shit beaten out of them by a group of huge men. Evil is someone who actually does shit of importance. To reference ED, your entire post is "Shit nobody cares about". And, to reference 3:10 To Yuma, "Even bad boys love their mommma..."
OT: Just ignore it, or do shit with your mom instead of sitting in your room. If you do something with them occasionally, they tend not to bother you. It can actually be fun, too.

Here's the problem with your post, you've made a huge and completely invalid assumption on my character based on one, internet forum post. Nice going.

And anyway, I think you replying to my post just to make a stupid insult and try and make me look bad makes you an asshole (lets see how you like your own illogical reasoning against you!)

In conclusion, my joking post was not meant to be taken seriously, anyone who did take it seriously, obviously missed the sarcasm, and needs a little bit of humour. Calm the fuck down.

My mother calls msn "snm". Also she used to read my messages but moving out is a good solution my poor dad just has to contend with her now.
I'd just minimise the windows before she comes in. I agree with the others that your mum is like my mum, they arn't the brightest tools in the shed and believe 90% what is put infront of them.

I used to have that problem but eventually my mom got her brain back together and everything was fixed. As for Oprah and Dr.Phil i think i have a motivational poster that perfectly explains him and Oprah but i dont know how to show you due to my lack of knowledge of html coding

Tell your mom this, If Doctor Phil really wanted to help people he wouldn't use crazies on his show to boost his ratings. His ratings rely on crazy people, so why on earth would he make them sane?

Sort her out, just say not every kid is as stupid as her (Her being your mom or the kid on the TV). Also if she asks to read your msn or steam conversations tell her no its none of her business then finish off with the line 'would you like it if I read all of your personal documents?. In fact show her this post. I would be glad to fill in her blanks.

The fact that text messaging and the internet exists doesn't make it so that kids say retarded things on them. Kids who are dumb write retarded things, the internet, MSN, Steam and texting only provides a medium. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't understand cause and effect.

She's overreacting a bit isn't she. She seems more impressionable than the teenagers she disagrees with.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

now THATS funny!!!

my mom was the one that actually used the internet to chat and i remember i once saw her screen with Windows Live, Yahoo MSN and like 4 others open, and she had this "bot" and tools to hack into the chat rooms and kick people out or spam the hell of some places i have no idea how she managed to gain such knowledge as to take down on her own a chat room in Yahoo.

the thing is she is "technology challenged" if presented with a cell phone she haves no idea how to use it besides dialing and playing music hahaha

Do woman's magazines still talk about how bad and violent video games are for kids? Back in my NES/SNES days this was the problem in my family, more so than Oprah. Oh, and I guess Ninja Turtles was pretty questionable too because some kids in Russia were playing ninja turtles and beat another kid to death. Though thankfully Ninja Turtle privileges were never revoked.

Anyways, if you fall into the 'teenager staying inside playing video game/using PC' crowd, you can always remind your mother that the alternative is the 'teenager out parting, drinking, having sex, and doing drugs' routine. The ultimate justification of the kid sitting at home playing video games all day is at least he's not out all night doing drugs and having sex.

In contrast to what other people have said, saying Dr. Phil/Oprah are sensationalist will probably only make your situation worse. She might think the evil MSN is feeding you lies and propaganda about her favorite shows, and get angrier.

Just sit down and reason with her that texting and IMing doesn't turn kids into idiots, and that the girl on the TV was probably a stupid ***** long before going on Dr Phil.

Start playing with a knife as soon she gets into your room and just stare at her without saying a word.. should probly make her stop entering your room :)
Or, alternately, just keep a porn window at the ready for such situations.

Mom: Get off MSN.
You: Fair enough. *Click*
Computer: Ooohh, ooooh, ah! Ah! Yes! Yes! Ungh, ungh! Yeeeessss!
You: You know, you are absolutely right. There are much better things to do on the internet than bother with human interaction. Would you mind handing me that lotion over there?

This is the part where you get into quite a bit of trouble, and have to resort to actual reasoned argument. It might not be a bad idea to compare Oprah/Dr. Phil's ridiculous ideology to the flawed concept of having no middle ground between online chatting and porn surfing.
win, simply win in every facet of this glorious plan

Get caught smoking, drinking, shoplifting, or get a tatoo. If you do that I'm sure "MSN" will take a few rungs down the ladder of importance.

Or if your old enough move out.

But that totally sucks, when I was really young the internet was still fairly new, and people my parents age didn't have the first clue about any of it's contents or what it was capable of.
