The giant lake cave monster in Turok. First of all barely any attacks do any kind of damage against this thing and second of all the one weapon I have that can do the most damage is almost out of ammo by the time I get there. The game never gave me any kind of hint that I would need it later and now I was being attacked by something with no real way to defend against it.

Also I have to say the Elizabeth Greene boss fight in Prototype simply because there are ENDLESS waves of other enemies swarming at me while I desperatley try to focus on one already difficult target. That irritates me so much.

The final boss from Ninja Gaiden 2. (In fact, all of the bosses were pretty challenging)

GODDAMNED ONAGA!
Mortal Kombat Deception, if you had a more impossible boss fight, no-one would have a copy of you.
For the first time, I beat him with Liu Kang, and that 'WADIDIDIDIDIDAAA' Flying Bicycle Kick of his.

Orphan from Final Fantasy XIII.
If you stagger him, you can use Vanille's Death on him and he is not immune.

Yiazmat from FFXII. An optional boss - over 50 million HP, fight takes literal hours.

Also I found Irvine on Resident Evil 5 (in professional mode) a bit of a beast to kill

Pretty much every boss fight in Dead Rising. Namely any fight with Carlito and especially that one boss fight that put you in a courtyard against a combat jeep carrying three prison inmates one wielding the mounted machine gun while you are armed with whatever it was you were carrying (best case scenario, a pistol with 14 shots in it worst case scenario a baseball bat, a 2x4,and a hanger), possibly attempting to escort more survivors, and all while trying some of the worst shooting and combat controls in years.

I hated that game.

Lu Bu, on hard difficulty when playing Dynasty Warriors 2 (I know I only ever mention DW2, but I haven't played any of the others, who knows, maybe he's harder in other games). This applies especially when you've just started with a new character and he attacks even though you tried to escape, he just keeps killing everything.

Twinrova from Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons (or Ages) It's so monotomous that I don't even know how many hits she can take or that I'm doing something wrong. Eventually I just blunder and die. And then to think I might have to fight Ganon next. UGH!

actually there is a strategy to beat him in which he is dead after two turns and he never got to attack. for proof here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caHWbRrTGxU

More and more of the later Boss Batles in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. They have so much health it is ridicules. Maybe with Co-Ops it would be easier but by youself, and god help you if you are trying to capture said weapon AND kill as few people as possible.

I've just never been able to kill Yakuza from Metroid Fusion, I'd of probably beaten him by now if it wasn't for the fact that the closest save point is a fair distance away, and his grab move, it takes down like a third of your health.

In conclusion never trust a spider that's named after a mafia.

The trick to this one is actuially not one you would think would be the main trick, when he becomes a torso it is faster to kill him if you AREN'T dodging every one of his attacks. Just personally in game I've had alot of trouble taking down Nightmare on Hard as he takes a metricf***ktonne of damage before he goes down and does a decent amount of damage to you right off the bat. He is doable just hard (not impossible).

OT: Personally I've been stuck at Lavos (chrono trigger) for a fair few years now but he himself is not impossible, the fact that you can choose to fight him the first time you visit the crossroads is where he comes into his impossibility (if you aren't playing game+).

Golden Sun 2.

there is a secret Boss called Dullahan.

Aside from having powerful Psynergy, Stats, and high HP & PP.

He has a move called Djinn Storm.
(Djinn are Equipable creatures that alter your stats and classes, and let you Summon)
It would put ALL of your party's Djinn in Recovery, messing up your stats and moves, and keep you from Summoning.
He liked to use that move a lot BTW.
Dullahan was difficult no mistake, but I didn't think he was unfairly hard. I actually really enjoyed him as a boss fight - Djinn Storm is a pretty interesting attack and made things exciting rather than impossible. I found Star Magician much more frustrating to be honest.

It's not technically a boss battle but the part of God of War III where you're pitted against a chimera and two satyrs on Chaos mode. That is by far one of the hardest things I've ever faced in a video game.

That's what called "Straight from the source material."

You do not mess with Bu.

OT: Del Lago. I don't think I'll ever beat that goddamned fish.

The tarrasque in 3.5. Added bonus points if you get swallowed whole and youre a paladin and you only have sources of bludgeoning damage on you (i.e. you cant cut yourself out). managed to cut way out with a crossbow bolt.

I remember Dullahan.

I also remember that I killed him in the first round.

Seriously, I had searched for walthroughs on this guy alone before attempting to kill him. But I had all my Djinn set and just unleashed everything on him. He died after my third summon, I think.

I was really surprised. >=D
