playing the same chord over and over is mixing it up? i'm confused.Nazulu said:Well it's either not your type of song or your not a good musician to mix it up a little.ideitbawx said:my band used to play kashmir. it's basically a d chord played slowly for 8 and a half minutes. sorry man, but i always found it a boring song. they have much better stuff than thatNazulu said:It wasn't a great song the first time you heard it? And how does Kashmir not age well? One of the greatest riffs and melodics I have ever heard.Superior Mind said:Stairway has lost pretty much all it's appeal to me, blame overplaying.Nazulu said:I don't think you listened to them at all if you really think songs like Stairway to Heaven and Kashmir aren't great songs.Superior Mind said:Led Zeppelin. Kind of like Nirvana in that there are people who think they're the best thing to happen to music ever but really they don't have all that many good songs. Good, sure, not great.
As for Kashmir - it's cool and all but it hasn't aged well. That's probably Led Zep's problem; their songs don't age well.
i'd take stairway over kashmir any day. i guess it just ain't my kind of song
i'd take black country woman, south bound suarez, nobody's fault but mine, no quarter, ramble on, the rover, custard pie, since i've been loving you, in the light ....
