I was just stating the point that it could still be considered an exslusive until it goes to another system. If we go by your thought, Then Rock Band 2 is a 360 exclusive too right?
...By YOUR logic rockband 2 is a 360 exclusive. My definition of an exclusive is never going to another console. Thats what makes it exclusive. And again, leave. Your made a whole page talking about your fanboydom and the 360. You've derailed this thread

Not really, What I said was just a helpful little point that if your holding out for FFXIII I hope your ready to freeze yourself if you want it on the 360. You took it off-topic by yammering on about me using the statement fanboy in my sentence. YOU TOOK THIS OFF-TOPIC. Remember that, I was responding back to your pretty much verbal attack about me using fanboy.(You know, This is why I kinda don't care what I use aslong as my points across. Because even when I try to be helpful I get called out on many things.)

Well then, The 360 has no exslusives in your books? Yes, No? I would think not because 9 times out of ten they go to the ps3. 10/10 they go pc it seems.

Anyways I will stop responding to the above and keep this on the topic of hating a dreamer.

So YOU didn't take it off topic by talking about something that had nothing to do with the topic, I took it off topic by telling you to leave, and you also didn't take it off topic with your half dozen replies, having NOTHING to do with the topic. I see, I understand now how its all my fault. But ignoring you now.
Theres no game that comes to mind with the PS3 that will create any cover characters, you need someone in a major series who has a unique or contant look that stands out. So far the PS3 has nothing like that planned (as far as I've seen)

And you don't know elements of the english language, So please leave and stop butchering it.

That was a hyperbole, But if you think about it you should get the point I was trying to make.
There goes the neighbourhood. The guy had a point, could you refrain from the bile long enough for a reasonable discussion for once please Bullet?

As for the whole purpose of a thread, I'm sitting on the fence. When I think PS3, I think Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy. Both wonderfully solid games, but in terms of a figurehead character, I dunno. Say what you will about Halo, that's the xbox's flagship product and Master Chief remains the same throughout the series, one solid character much more easily springing to mind in relation to a platform. Whereas FF characters change every game, and Snake gets older every game, and if we're talking about solely PS3, you're limited to a geriatric.
So he does not understand my point I made, Then he states that I am a fanboy.(Okay I maybe a tiny bit, But thats just because i'm pissed at M$, Not the gaming companys catering the 360.)

And what I can't make a retort back?(Also I do feel that the butchering part was a bit much, But still hyperboles are easy and he should have seen the point in what I wrote.)
I had a choice between a 360 and PS3, I chose a 360 and I don't really care that sometimes I have to take a few seconds to change the disc and wait a little because of load times, it's got exclusives and the reason why I didn't choose the PS3 is because most of it's top games are multi-platform anyway with no difference between them, why would I pay extra for the same games?

On Topic:
I don't have a problem with Peter Molyneux, he makes PR a lot more entertaining.

Also if you haven't heard already he has said the Fable 2 pub games glitch was intentional, I find this dubious but I can't rule it out as the truth, if it is indeed the truth it's not only hilarious to the glitchers when they get their just desserts but Fable 2 pub games will go down in the history of gaming even if it was a rubbish game.

A couple of my friends are wondering whether you start evil, or get robbed. It has to be something EVERYONE will hate, cause starting evil wouldn't bug me (I haven't used the glitch though)

For the PS3 [...] Final Fanatasy and Metal Gear Solid, to be sure, but they don't have the wider appeals
Also, Final Fantasy XIII is going to be on the 360 as well, at least outside of Japan. So it might not be as resonant with the PlayStation brand this generation as in previous console cycles.

One of Sony's "problems" is that the games that really helped sell their machines so far have all been third-party: Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy are the series' that really stick out for me when I think of the PlayStation brand.

With games becoming more and more expensive to produce as hardware gets more powerful (and therefore more complicated), fewer developers can afford to stick to a single platform, and for a company like Sony with very little in the way of big-name first- or second-party franchises it's going to hit them harder than Nintendo or even Microsoft.

I don't think it's going to have a huge impact on their business overall, though. Once they drop the price and bring out a handful more must-have titles, gamers like myself (who've been wanting a PS3 for months, but can't justify that expenditure for so few games) will be tipped off the fence.
I would like to point out that 360 fanboys will have to wait 1-2 years for their port.(And it will be quite a bit more expensive I bet since it will take like 80 fracking CD's.)

Also Sony is working on getting their face out, Its becoming more like a PC but still retaining a console form. Some games allow even miceboard-support, And things such as the FragFX. Games such as R2, And KZ2 are looking out their to change things.(R2 changing the formula to a realistic TF2+Excellent Co-Op campaign, And huge multi-player.) and KZ2 by giving all those halo fanboys something to wet themselves over graphically.(IT also doesn't pull that gag where you sit behind cover and switch to 3rd-Person, This could have been taked out, But if defiantly was in an earlier build.)

Also, Kratos is probably the best figurehead they have.(Hes innovative in his own right, Being not a flawed brown-haired space marine, But a bald physcopath.)

Solid Snake is a nice one, But he doesn't have broad appeal.

If KZ2 and R2 don't flop, Then there will be another figurehead set up.(R2 being the most likely to succeed.)

Sly Cooper, For the Kiddies.

Final Fantasy still applys, Since its kind of a timed exclusive. But sony didn't pay to get it, The company is doing it.
After posting that 2 lines, I went back and edited it after reading what someone had said. After pressing post you so eloquently had posted saying for me to get out. Anyways, I know I can't change your mind but hey I can try.

To reiterate, I'm not contesting WHAT he is saying, I'm just saying that HE isn't an "authority" on gaming since he hasn't produced anything HALF as good as HE claims his games are. With both Black and White as well as Fable, Molypoo made some lofty, self-promoting statements about how he was going to fundamentally change gaming with those two games and both of them were utter disappointements in my book. He's full of himself and a douche. That is all.

Well have you been to G4 recently? They've been talking to Peter Moore from EA Games every couple days for his inciteful knowledge into all things gaming! Now nothing Lionhead has made has had much replayability, actually most games from them I've never beaten cause they get boring. But if ANYONE who works at EA games has the authority to talk about gaming, I think a big wig at lionhead has it too

He hasn't made a decent game since Populous 2 and for some damned reason thinks that he's God's gift to gamers.
It's a little hard to take you seriously. He hasn't made a decent game since Populous 2? That's insane. Maybe you need to be made to understand what the word decent means?

Fable, Black and White and Dungeon Keeper were, if nothing else, decent games. They may not have to be your cup of tea, that's fine, but to say they're beneath decent is nuts.

So what? That's your whole point? Seems like a bit of a shallow point. The guy says something pertinent and all you can say is, "Yeah? well.. I don't like you!"

I actually somehow missed out on all hearing all the promises that he made for Fable, so I was generally pleased with that game (There was a bit of "oh, why can't I become the cheif of this village and rule over it with an iron fist?" from reading on the box or something that such things would be possible)
If he makes Fable 2 as good as he says it is I'm willing to let him keep living. However if it's not...
*shakes fist in a manner that suggests a mafia hit being placed on a certain UK based French guy with a tendecy to lie and deceive the gaming public*

When i think about Sony or the word Playstation i honestly invision Crash Bandicoot...

What?

Also i followed the hype with the First Fable and i was genuinely still pleased with the outcome...
I've also played populous and the black and white games and with a straight face and no word of a lie i would still say Fable was one of the best games Lionhead made. (don't get me wrong i still like Populous and B&W)

I STILL play it to this day and i have every intention of buying a 360 and a limited edition copy of the game.

that being said, i love the MGS franchise aswell but i'm not about to go and buy a PS3.
I'm not even biased about the systems, honestly if i could get 'em all i would.
But really, nothing on the PS3 interests me enough to justify me getting one at the moment.

Exactly how it went for me, too. I judged the game on what it actually was and not what it was supposed to be in some other dimension of time and space. And overall, I had a lot of fun with it. It wasn't the best game ever to be made, but I've surely played worse. In fact, I've played through it twice, which is about how many replays it seems to have.

Hang on, PS3 needs a defining games, so you DIDN'T get your metal gear solid 4?
But Snake changes every game, you need someone who stays the same.

hmm, in a recent interview with GamesRadar, he didn't come over too bad, although he was just talking about Fable II, saying he learned from his mistake of being a big mouth ect. ect....

I don't mind him being a bit outspoken, gives him a personality of sorts :)

oh and I loved Fable, so he's pretty amazing in my books ( I even went out and bought the rereleased lost chapters ^_^)

...Yet I hear people complaining about sequels and creativity all the time. (I'm not saying at all that you are. This thought is not aimed at you.
But were not looking for creativity, we need a character that stays the same so you can recognize them at all times

lol at the fanboys - Fable 2 was the reason I bought a 360. Peter can say what he likes, he knows much more about the industry than you, so don't critasise him. Im sure he knows what he's talking about.

Besides what he states in the interview is true. Metal Gear solid is not an defining game. Its not a game for everyone - you either like or loathe stealth games, whilst Littlebigplant will be accsessible for everyone.

Stop moaning.

But... but... Molyneux is my favorite developer... He's just enthuisiastic, that's all. I liken him to a kid talking about a drawing he made in school.

Besides, I agree with him. If you ask a non gamer on the street about video games, all will know Mario, and some will know Master Chief. Very few know about Solid Snake, even though he's quite a bit more developed that the other two characters. MGS4 buzz died kinda quickly...

Really, I don't think Sony will ever have that one title that everyone will recognize. Sure, if you look deeper, you will find some noticable characters that people will like, but as people said they lack the Mario and Master Chief. Though, a downside to mascots is that it shows the company relies heavily on the success of them (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Master Chief, Sonic, doesn't apply to companies, only the Big 3) but whatever.

Problem with LBP being a "mascot" though is that I don't think LBP is going to be the huge franchise that Mario or Sonic are, with the later forming hundreds of spin-offs and stuff, LBP doesn't have that luxry of being able to branch out with spinoffs (A baseball game where you create your own bases and bats? Prepostorous!)

But we'll wait and see.

And for gods sake, shut up about the FFXIII stuff already. FF versus 13 is still a PS3 exclusive (for now) and I believe there might be a FF13 for the PSP sometime, though that i'm not sure about. So shut up already, it's not as big of an insult as you might think.
