Whatever happened to just simply punching the kid in the face and follow it with a nice "SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DO AS I SAY!". It has always worked before.

Id taser any ***** that kicked me in the nuts.
This!!!!!
C'mon folks, a kick in the balls. If she hadn't done that then it was a bit to much to taser her. But god, A kick in the nuts. Besides, what mother says that her child can be tasered. I might seem brutal suggesting that it was the right thing for her to be tasered but in the big picture it seems to be her fault.

This is like the story "Woman calls 911 because McDonalds was out of nuggests." No she called them because she felt robbed the store would not refund her money.

The girl was not "TASERED" like the new using machine gun to cover the very different distinction of Assault rifles, Machine pistols ect.

She was stun gunned.
And it was not for taking a shower it was for ASSAULTING a officer. Which she should end up in Juvie for.

Taser. The devices shower that fires a skin penetrating dart with wires then sends electricity thorugh the wires into the body.

Stun gun. Looks like a phaser, two posts bout 3 inches apart, needs to be touched to the skin then used.

So if your kid is unruly and assaults you, expect your kid to be in front of juvinile court probley paying a fine you the parent will be shelling out for. And if your kid attacks a officer, and gets "STUNNED GUNNED" not tasered, accept it as well because your responcible for this kids actions.

Don't wanna be stun gunned don't kick a cop in the nuts. He should have pepper sprayed the little brat it hurts worse and longer.

What's next? Using pepperspray on noisy babies?
That's probably just make 'em noisier. Although I read once that a baby was tasered while its mother was trying to be captured by the police. She just lifted the baby into the line of fire, supposedly!
Mother of the year, ain't she?

What a load of crap. Being kicked in the nuts does not give you the right to taser (because stun gunned sounds stupid) a 10 year old, really just try that excuses your self. It would not hold up for a normal person and it should not hold up for the police. Being a police officer does not suddenly mean you have the right to react violently to a child and using a stun gun is a violent reaction.

The fact the officer was attempting to arrest some one for not taking a shower is stupid enough. Wasting police time is an offence that officer should be facing too as this whole incident was waist of time from the beginning.

Heh...
What a great method of parenting! Let others do it for you!

If the girl was stupid enough to kick a cop in the groin, serves her right having 10000 volts shot through her. I'm sure she'll think twice about doing it again.

This is another reason why mass communications suck. A hundred years back they didn't have this many people all around the world carring for some brat being tazed.

All of you who think that sparing the rod is spoiling the child seem to be not applying any logic at all to this simple fact: if indeed the laws return to the 50's, pre-child's bill of rights, and a good ol' fashioned parent can once more smacketh the crap out of their unruly little urchin (which will never ever happen in a developed country), what's to stop all the mommies and daddies who break bones?

Violence is for the weak of mind. You train your children to be weak of mind when you train them by keeping them in line with any violence. Besides, there are much more effective means of punishment.
Given that violent crime, frequency of youth gangs and the frequency of crimes committed by a youth have risen substantially since the 50's are you really sure our 'More Effective' methods are actually working?

Three words: ARE THEY FUCK!

Take your pick...

Please could you give examples of these 'More effective means of punishment' and show us how all how children are all so much better behaved now. Demonstrate this by finding statistics of how youth-related crime as dropped since the abolishment of the practise of giving a good 'ol clip round the ear...

Please show us some of this Logic you speak of...

easy to cop out and say bad parenting, can't people be diagnosed as just "crazy" anymore, you know mentally ill, Personally one of my siblings was mentally ill and let me tell you it was no cake walk for my parents trying to raise him. No amount of patience, reason or logic had any impact and my parents had both in spades, it all came to a head when he manifested violent tendencies, to his brothers and sister, this led to him been proscribed medication, that he in turn refused to take, resulting in him having a criminal record longer than my arm for unprovoked physical assaults including upon several police officers. To which I might add it took 6 police officers to restrain him at the tender age of 16 (this I witnessed and I was still scared that the police wouldn't be able to hold him). Never underestimate the power of a lunatic.
