It's not bad. The graphics, music and voice acting are good. Framerate, game mechanics, loading and all the content that isn't the main story are bad. Everything else is sort of acceptable. 6/10
There's a Dead Rising sequel on the way?Godofgame67 said:I hated Mass Effect after about 2 hours. The controls were horrible and it was so dialog heavy at times I forgot it was a game and thought I was watching a movie. When you controller goes into sleep mode during a shooter, you know they did something wrong. It didn't even feel like a shooter. The controls and cover action was horrible and the weapon mods were too complex to figure out. And like Deadrising, I can't believe there making a sequel to this bullshit.
I forgot to mention, the writing is really damn good. The main flaw in the game however is that you don't get to play as a Krogan.Saylek said:exactly i think that kinda sums it upSouplex said:The writing is good.
The weapons are boring and generic.
The RPG elements were shallow.
The writing was really goddamn good.
It was really long so if you did like it then there was a lot of it for you.
i can only add that... yep that sums it up, great game on my top 5 list.
HI5!
Fine! I will, but it doesn't change my oppinion. People getting angry for me not liking the game is stupid! Why am I not allowed to dislike it? Will the Mass Effect monster come and eat you in your sleep if you say one thing bad about it?hailmagus said:Wow, if you couldn't even get off of the fucking Citadel for the first time than... wow...Dunn159 said:For some reason everyone seems to think Mass Effect is fantastic.
I on the other hand find it too repetitive and lacking any sort of actual action.
At the moment i am lost in C-Sec trying to find some guy, however the game gives no hint as how to find said guy and after about two days of searching i grew bored and sold the game.
So i ask you, what do you see in this game and is there anyone out there that agrees with me?
I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again... If video games have taught you anything it's persistence... Since that doesn't fit in this situation I'm going to say - be patient... But who am I to tell you anything... watch everyone else have fun. I don't give a shit...
This. It's awfully tiresome to see "Everyone seems to love/hate this game except me!" type threads.NoMoreSanity said:No you are not and stop trying to think hating a loved game is special.
When they make a RPG a lot of people can mistake for a shooter, you know they've done a bad job.Shadedblade said:It's not a shooter... it's an RPG...yeah XDGodofgame67 said:I hated Mass Effect after about 2 hours. Edit: Why are people getting so defensive and angry? It's an oppinion, get used to it! Me disliking this game is my oppinion so just accept it!
And them disliking your opinion is their opinion, so just accept it. If you don't like people disagreeing with you then don't make threads that attack popular things.Dunn159 said:Edit: Why are people getting so defensive and angry? It's an oppinion, get used to it! I guess lots of people complained about there is too much dialogue in ME. Strangely enough, that is what draws me to the game. Just like in Fallout 3, I rather spend my time in the game interacting with other NPCs rather than shooting them.Flos said:I find it ironic that you think an RPG has too much dialogue. I suppose you would play an RTS and complain about all the strategy? Or an FPS and complain about all the shooting?Manawa said:Actually i haven't played it, but I will not attempt to.
Let me explain before cutting my head off...
I played both KotOR games and found them pretty entertaining BUT in second one I was skipping quests or forcing through them by killing NPC - becouse I was sick of dialogs, TOO MUCH FU***ING DIALOGS!!! gaming is no longer based on text boxes, but BioWare seems to be unconcious of that. Yahtzee said (as well as my friend who also played the game) that there is too much talking, more in both KotOR games? if so, I will not even borrow it just to check it.
I'm sorry, m'lord, that we all can't have the character interaction of an FPS. If you'd have paid attention to anything about the game before it came out, you might've realized that character interaction was kind of a big deal. It's an RPG, not Halo.
