Mac=BMW of Computers, no 3rd party stuff to really speak of, no games (esp. since MS Bought out Bungie for Halo, depriving Macs of any games beyond Marathon). Therefore to me, Mac is just another way of flaunting that you have more money than you know what to do with.

Foe. I enjoy my PC and its cheapness that i can then customize. Oh, you're new apple laptop has 4 GBs and cost you 2500 dollars? My laptop cost me about a fifth of that, and after customizing it to have a 3TB memory, only spent 575.

You have 3TB RAM? Interesting.

I know you're just getting storage space and memory confused, but it would be awesome if someone actually had a computer that could make use of that kinda memory.

its RAM. I bought my laptop, tore it apart, built it back up, and put it in my own ram. the memory space is only 2TBs.

Though really my friend is more impressive. Albeit his is a Desktop, but he has 10TB Ram, and and extra 5 TB storage space that he'll never fill in his entire life.

Is the word "ram" like hipster now where we can just use it for anything?

10TB of Ram would require a motherboard with between 1,250 and 2,500 slots. Which is a pretty beefy mobo. Edit: I was thinking about it, without some proper stacking I would imagine this thing would be as long as a house.

The only other thing I can think of is you are calling SSD's RAM but even then those are absolutely massive and extremely costly solid state drives.

Apple is fancy, fun and creative. Where as Windows is sophisticated and better for more advanced PC goers. In my personal opinion that is. Because I have both a MacBook and beast Windows PC Laptop.

I'm a lifetime PC user, tried out friends Macs and tried itunes and ipods, and all i can say is im a total friend, Apple takes advantage of the uneducated public so much its not even funny, i mean the prices they charge for equipment that can be bought from other companies for half the price is ridiculous, and when i see someone drop a couple Gs on something i built or bought for a fraction of the price, just makes me smile haha

Theres a difference between the readily available hardware list inside of a PS3 and this magic RAM he has access to that doesn't exist elsewhere.

I know how to take care of my PC, so I consider Apple annoying for largely preying on ignorance of technology to get customers for computers. On the other hand, they have the best mp3 players bar none and the cost shows it, but I'll forgive them for it. So, yeah, I'm indifferent for the most part.

I'm getting increasingly wary of Apple. I'm switching from iTunes to Amazon, methinks, and I'm getting a Blackberry or Android phone before I get an iPhone.

Yeah, the Apple store staff can be pretty nutty. I got chatting to a couple once, one was an overly keen nut who was just a really big fan it seemed but then the other guy was a guy studying Robotics with AI and he was a pretty awesome guy. It is weird how people can be whipped up into that kind of fervor.

Personally I hate all their products and I've been disappointed with my iphone and ipods. Never buying any more of their overpriced crap again and I advise everyone I know not to.

It's funny I was out with my friends and we got talking about iphones vs blackberrys and me and the other person with an iphone in our friendship group both agreed we'd rather have a blackberry.

Wow, that's pretty stupid. Good thing I'm using Windows; I can go buy whatever iThing I want and it will work. Of course, reading this nonsense has only made me less likely to buy an iThing.

Apple stimulates the same region of the brain as religion. That fact alone is scary.

My computer is an XP box I had built around '05 or '06, and the thing still runs well. I've upgraded the ram to 2 GB and had to replace the hard drive once, but it still works for what I need. The only Apple related item I have in my home is a pair of granny smith apples in my fridge.

I've always hated apple they make you pay 600 more dollars for their operating system so a 800 dollar laptop from windows is now a 1400 dollar laptop from apple with the same hardware inside just no you get to act like a complete dick for owning a apple computer

PS this is why most of my computers are linux (apple 10.0 and later are built off of it but you never have to pay)

All I know is, he asked me not ot photograph it. My laptop is about the size of a suitcase (not a large one, about 1.85 ft by .85 ft. by roughly 2 ft.), and so far as I know, he just slapped together a bunch of Ram. Its been his technique for it for as long as I know he did say that he connected at least three different rams together for it (that were brand name). though most of his self made parts are in his comp (which is a tower thats about a 3x3x3 cube [and he painted to look like a companion cube, which I always though was insanely funny].) the Only custom part of his I have is the chip to produce images (cant think of the name at the moment).

I just honestly dont want to take apart my laptop. its a ***** to put back together, and is hoenstly easier to just build fromt he ground up again instead of taking it apart. And right now, I'm not in a position to take it apart. I'm fading in and out of the escapist amongst Macro econ business college work thats due at the end of the month is going to accumulate to a third of my summer term work.
