I'm pretty keen to buy it, but im just wondering how much does it cost?
Last I checked it's on sale for $45 US on Steam.

I'm picking it up, because it's rare for a game to actually scare me, excite, and be a fun game all at once.
Hmmm Dammit with Christmas comming up I cant afford that, unless.... I have an idea it seems my 5 year old brother is getting Left 4 Dead this chirstmas *wink* :D
And I suppose you'll be nice enough to let him use your Steam profile to install it? You're such a great brother.

After a co-op session with Doc, I'm definitely buying this. Hopefully, in the VALVE Bundle for $US100.

Also, anyone else think that the pistols have to be nerfed? Seriously, having two of those things makes you a zombie killing machine... cool, 'cetp we're supposed to be playing a survival game, based on teamwork and such.

I do realize there's a Left 4 Dead impressions thread going around (in which I've posted in), but I wanted to see some data.
It won't reflect the overal behaviour of the site's visitors, because people interested in L4D are more inclined to view this thread. People who do not care about L4D, will simply not check this thread out...

Having that said, I voted no anyway, because I won't have time to play. And I can't go online through this uni firewall anyway, without tunneling, and I can't be arsed to figure out which ports work and which ones do not right now.

No offense, but I didn't even really think this statement needed to be said. Obviously this isn't a very scientific way of collecting accurate data. That's not what I was really shooting for.

I wanted to get some conversations going about the pros and cons of the game (which I received) and get an overall impression of what people thought.

I played the demo about 15 times yesterday, yet I'm still undecided on if I should buy it or not.I don't want to spend money on a game just to get bored after two weeks.

I can't stop playing the demo, its so addictive.

But I've been thinking that this game won't work well for the 360 purely because of lack of modding and community maturity, I can just imagine kids screaming down the mic every time the horde rush or deliberately pissing off the witch.

I'm only getting the game (PC) because I have a few good friends getting it as well. I just don't trust the public to work as a team well enough to make the game enjoyable.

Dude, join the Escapist community (See TF2 thread). Me, Izzy and ronwe jumped onboard and we kicked ass.

I pre-ordered it yesterday from Amazon. The demo is pure gold, there are some "fuck what was that," moments. Hearing that deep breathing of a tank sitting in the subway is bonechillingly fun. Getting your neck half-broken and then pounced on by a hunter is so hilarious that you won't even care that you're dead. My only complaint about the demo is that there are only 2 levels... But if there were more, it wouldn't be a demo. The versus mode sounds incredible, too. Just hoping it won't be deserted due to unbalanced boss zombies.

Fun but it didn't draw me in, would be fun with friends though.
BTW didn't it seem odd that they had time to set up several "safe" house type things if they are trying to leave the city? Surely instead of setting up these points, you would just leave the city, seriously why?

Do you mean the Escapist Team Fortress 2 Event group, or the actual Escapist group? I'm assuming the latter, but since you said the TF2 thread, it could be either.

Works on both. You should be able to see a few of us in game and then just add us to your friends list.

Because you need time to recover and reload. Humans need to rest, the undead don't.

And SHUT THAT DOOR!
