I can't really get into the actual thing too much in the forums but basically, it has nothing to do with how much leather and spikes you can wear, or whatever. Like, I have great demonstration illustration scans from a book I got from Akibahara (sorry if I spelling that wrong) that show real bondage and how it works and so on and even came with a rope to use for yourself to get started, but any explanation I try to put here will be extremely incomplete due to a lack of details that I can use here.

It's more like when you see someone wearing a a rope tied around their body, with the knot in front of their midriff, or stomach or sometimes a bit higher up. That's closer to what's involved in actual bondage, and way more like it than wearing leather pants ever will be. People just get goth and bondage way too mixed up.

People get S&M and bondage mixed up, not goth & bondage.

I did laugh at Rob Halford though, that's some hilarious mental image right there.

True. I guess goth was a poor choice of wording on my part, but I just kept thinking of "bondage pants", and those were always what goth kids pretty much always wore (from what I've seen in the area where I live) back before emo was the new thing, so that's how my mind got to that association.
