And that is what the problem is. Other devs look up at IW because of their huge success. They may do what they do (taking away dedicated servers). That is why i'm complaining. IW's move is a threat to mostly everything PC gaming.Chester41585 said:the game is still going to sell buttloads of units.
I think that complaining in general won´t help.IW doesn't care about us gamers. All they want is money.Like all companies.Radeonx said:I think, that while it is useless, complaining about the complainers doesn't do anything to help, at all.
i'm sorry, but being a pc gamer myself, i'm not whining about them taking away the dedicated servers as i only play on non-dedicated servers.blankgabriel said:Easy to say, hard to follow up on. Now i'm assuming you are a console gamer because if you are PC gamer you WOULD have something wrong with IW choice. Think of PC gaming as a race. And dedicated servers are a major part of our culture. Then a bunch of rebels take over the country and take away your right to own property or something. Sorry, i r bad at analogies. And apparantly english too.spuddyt said:[http://img222.imageshack.us/i/dealwithitbig.gif/]![]()
But it's not a key part.We like it.But we can get on without it.blankgabriel said:Think of PC gaming as a race. And dedicated servers are a major part of our culture.
Says a console gamer. Sorry, but you guys really don't understand...Chester41585 said:Yes, please stop whining. For once, I'd like the PC gamers to act like the tough boys they claim to be and just suck it up.
Not buying something IS the act of boycotting.popdafoo said:I'm not boycotting it, I'm just not buying it. They've done some pretty stupid things with it and I was never going to buy it in the first place. I don't mind people whining about it, I just wish that people defending the game would have gotten that worked up when the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott was announced. At least the Modern Warfare 2 boycott has structure and reason behind it.
Oh sorry, I didn't notice your edit. The problem was when I was trying to hit tab to go to the next option box, I accidentally hit enter, which posted the thing, so I had to go back and edit, which happened no less than 5 times. I have a huge sleep deficit, sorry.dragontiers said:As I said in my edit, when I first loaded up your topic, the only options that showed up on the poll were the two yes options. I don't know if I just had a bad page load, or if you were in the middle of updating the poll when I saw it or what. After I finished posting I noted the poll had all the options, so I added the edit at the bottom of my post. Once again, sorry for that.darkfire613 said:Explain how my poll is one sided? I included options for all the different opinions I could think of, including one to state your other opinion, stated that maybe it was just me and I was getting worked up over nothing, and asked for other people's opinions. I'm trying to have a discussion, not a flame war.dragontiers said:I'd just like to note, that your poll is extremely one sided and biased, and that often leads to a quick visit from the banhammer.
OT: Eh, it doesn't bother me one way or another. If I see too many threads about a topic I'm no longer interested in, I don't read them. I do think IW has made a few bad decisions, but we'll see how it affects their sale rate. I wasn't going to get it anyways (I don't really play fps), so on that end it doesn't effect me.
Edit: Sorry about the poll thing, when I looked, there were only the yes options. Either my page didn't load right or you fixed it in the time it took me to read the poll and post this. Sorry again.
So i'm boycotting everything i don't buy?. Please re-phrase thatshadow skill said:Not buying something IS the act of boycotting.popdafoo said:I'm not boycotting it, I'm just not buying it. Then you don't truly understand what is being taken away.dogstile said:i'm sorry, but being a pc gamer myself, i'm not whining about them taking away the dedicated servers as i only play on non-dedicated servers.blankgabriel said:Easy to say, hard to follow up on. Quite literally in fact. One of the definitions of boycott is to abstain from buying or using.blankgabriel said:So i'm boycotting everything i don't buy?.
