Still to sell an old gamecube title for even $30 is a crime seeing is how the system can play gamecube titles and I am sure on ebay I could find the original pikmin for $1
Then you're free to get the original version for the Gamecube for $1. Good luck getting it to work with the Wiimote, though.

The fact of the matter is that no one releases a retail game for less than $30. Nevermind production, but with distribution and advertisement costs you just can't make any money if you go lower.

Or, you know..you could just plug a Gamecube controller into your Wii. It has 4 slots for Gamecube controllers. >_>

Go two steps back in the quote chain and you'll see how we were talking about the Wiimote pointer controls, and specifically how I said that the dual-analog controls of the Gamecube version were what turned me off from it.

Also, something that it's being taken into account here. The Wii has worldwide sales, it sold exceptionally well in the Americas, Japan, and Europe, etc. The 360 won't have said sales as both X-boxs are hated immensely in Japan, leading to incredibly bad sales there, with next to no one owning one, leaving a big dent on Kinect's hope on hurting the Wii, at least commercially.

Yes they will. The majority of doucebags playing CoD will belive that this is some kind of revolutionary gaming device, and will buy it instantly.

No. The 360 costs more and a lot of the "casual gamers" that this motion stuff is going for are non-gamers who are likely to pay as little as possible. Also I think Nintendo has a strangle hold so they won't much be effected.

No, it's too confusing for the audience they're aiming for.
At least that's what I think.

Not really. There is a lot of lazy people (myself included) who just use a normal controller when playing the Wii. I don't see the Kinect's popularity lasting very long.

I will admit Kinect Sports is, but you have to look at from their point of view. The biggest game and one of the only ones more wii owners mention as their favorite is Wii Sports so they had to make a similar title.
So It's okay for Kinect games to be crap as long as they were already popular somwhere else?

Agree with this. I really don't see how Kinect is going to sell that well itself, its so overpriced, since when did 360 owners want to jump about dancing and playing with tigers anyway? Especially at that price... :|

Tbh though I kind of wish it did, the wii is a pretty poor console really, I'm not hating on it or anything because I play mine sometimes, but I've really come across only a handful of standout games, its almost a backwards console... Nowhere near up to the standards it should be :/

I can think of a few reasons why the controller/motion combo is superior to just using your body alone:
1) Precision aiming, like on shooters;
2) Gameplay where you require feedback, such as the feel of hitting a ball or a sword;
3) Games where you have to manipulate objects such as a steering wheel when racing, or controlling a panel or opening a door...

Really, the only game activity I can think of where Kinect would be superior to a motion controller would be dancing! Of course, until I experience some of the Kinect games, I can't take that to the bank...

Every game you listed for the Move are not coming out until 2011 at the earliest here are the launch titles for Move...

EyePet
Kung Fu Rider
Sports Champions
Start The Party!
echochrome ii
Tumble
Brunswick Pro Bowling (Crave)
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 (Electronic Arts)
Time Crisis: Razing Storm (Bandai Namco)
Toy Story 3 (Disney)

Wow so lets look at this list. You have EyePet which is Kinectamls so thats a wash. Kung Fu Rider? Sports Champions...I am assuming thats like Wii Sports. Start the Party! I feel a collection of minigames coming. Echochome ii....really? Tumble, no idea what this is. Brunswick Pro Bowling...so instead of including bowling in a collection of games they are trying to sell it seperately. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010, okay. Time Crisis: Razing Storm...I thought Move had 3D camera controls so you could move yourself why are you playing a rail game? Toy Story 3...this game has been out a while and who cares if it has motion controls.

So yes Playstation Move will have Killzone 3 and other big titles sometime down the road but it appears they are in the same boat if not in worst shape than Kinect. Kinect too will have big titles in the near future such as the new Star Wars game but others will follow. I can't tell you that I know how movement around a map will be included but I am sure they are figuring that out.
That the thing. Thers something to look forward too. With the Kinect you're getting an attachment that has no clear future. I can look foward to Killzone 3 and Little Big PLanet as well as Gran Turismo 5 (which comes out in November). Have fun rubbing a tiger cubs genitals and waving your arms dancing come September. And please stop mentioning the Star Wars game, its terrible.

EDIT: Hmm seems like Dead Space 2 is also supproting the Move as well as the port of Dead Space Extraction from the Wii. Both are going to be on the same Blu Ray disk! Still no word from you on more up and coming Kinect games...

UFC Trainer
Star Wars with Kinect (working title)
Michael Jackson: The Experience
Milo and Kate
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I
Grand Slam Tennis
Child of Eden
Sonic Free Riders
Unannounced Sega Title (http://nexus404.com/Blog/2010/07/16/sega-looking-to-use-kinect-in-more-sophisticated-ways-sega-planning-original-kinect-game-coming-in-2011-2012/)
Fable III

Theres a small list but Microsoft has stated that they are going to have a wide range of games including Harcore games coming out throughout 2011.

I will continue to mention the Star Wars game because from a brief demo there is no way to cross it off the list. Sony fans are just mad they can't wave their Move dildos around to do some sweet light-saber action.

UFC Trainer (WTF?)
Star Wars with Kinect (you are the only one that thinks that this SCRIPTED demo is any good)
Micheal Jackson Experience (coming to ps3 also on the Move, do some more research)
Milo and Kate (not real most likely won't be released [link]http://www.thinq.co.uk/2010/6/29/microsoft-wont-release-milo-and-kate/[/link])
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (yeah Harry Potter games are known for their brilliance lol)
Grand Slam Tennis (Really? You are going to bring that up to compare to the Moves upcoming titles?)
Sonic Free Riders (Man, you are really losing grasp of reality if you think another Sonic game will be any better on Kinect. Sonic games are SHIT)
Chld Of Eden (also on PS3, why aren't you listing any exclusives?)
Unannounced Sega Title (Um wtf, the Heros on the Move game looks much more creative and fun, combining well known characters)

On to the point though, there were no hardcore games listed, Fable 3 is not playable Kinect only, they'll probably have minigames that use Kinect seeing as thats all Kinect is good for.

Looking at all these post i can't help but wonder why anyone considers both Kinect or the Move

I don't care much for motion controls since i like to just lay down or sit and play, not have to stand up and exercise, i play football for that.

Actually one of the launch titles coming out is a minigame collection made by Hudson studio. It includes paintball which plays by the player holding their hand like an imaginary gun and you pull an imaginary trigger to fire the gun. So Kinect can interepret very fine movement. Before making a blanket statement you read nowhere do some research.
That reminds me of the Kevin Butler thing where he says "Who wants to pretend they got a gun"

Kinect hasn't shown me anything to warrent a buy, neither has the move.

OT:No i don't think it will hurt the Wii, its already ahead and thinks Sony and MS are losers for being in last weeks dress.

The kinect will hurt the Wii as much as a pebble will hurt water.

Although the Wii's popularity is probably gonna wane now, its just because it doesn't have anything new to offer. Its not kinect thats gonna cause the downfall of Wii, Wii is just already past its prime.

The current generation of consoles has maybe a year, two tops, before their parent companies will have to bring out new hardware. This leads me to believe both Move and Kinect are just one last hoorah before the new stuff hits. Which, if you think about it, makes any kind of serious support for either seem tenuous at best.
So basically the people buying it will be the market research to see if it's worth integrating into the next generation or not...
Perhaps, but with little support (and inherent flaws) it's not likely to become popular, let alone viewed in a positive light. That being the case, it's not likely they'd pick the idea up again for the new hardware since it'd be hard to fend off the negative opinion of the device. (i.e. spending a fortune in positive advertising)

I point you to the Virtual Boy. Widely reviled, it all but killed any chance of anyone, especially Nintendo, from pursuing stereoscopic gaming. Until now, that is.
