I'm a bloke and it ticks me right off. If I'm playing a game I want to play the game, not listen to some 12 year olds chat someone up

But to be specific, I prefer the shy gamers who can't say "boobs" without blushing. So cute. ^_^
No reason for the quote but that was a good book series wasn't it? No one I know's read it the fools.
It's a wonderful series! I wish Elizabeth Moon kept writing about her adventures, or maybe about a new generation of Paladins hundreds of years into the future that revere her as their paragon. So, basically, Paladins Piloting Spaceships.

If you don't want to be bothered because of your gender, why do some of you feel the need to bring it up?
Anyway, the only time I've ever brought up my gender is when I was using a mic and someone told me that I "sounded really young". Other than that, I couldn't care less if people know what my gender is. I don't want any special attention just because I have an X chromosome instead of a Y chromosome.
Now days I admittedly see more names bringing up gender than I hear about it, but in the good ole days of CoD(1), I saw it all the time. I just never understood it.

Which let's be admit it, would be awesome.

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson is pretty amazing, and the end is the most impressive I've ever read. So basically, check it out xD

And I have no idea how to do the replies with everything that's been said already in the post :/

yes i do hear it sometimes on bad company2. some cockheads were being cocks to a girl and she was very good at the game, so she called in a morter strike. and i said wow your good at this game, so i switch team to have funplaying as the russsians. then i found out she was russsian so i started gabbing on about tactics and sniping in russian, and those cokheads, say,aww i bet you there masturbating on chat or something using a webcam, so i did the extreme, she called in a morter on their spoanwpoint, i ran up to their spawnplace, repeadadly killed them teabagged them(they're teammates just watched) and ran back to my spawnplace, were we won the game.

It's the QUOTE button. ^_^ If you hover over it, it will say "Reply with Quote". This also notifies the person you're quoting that they've been quoted. I had to lurk a little just to find that you quoted me the first time.

Ahh, I see what you mean. Names like "Gamergirl" or whatnot. Am I correct?

lmao...Oh yes Cuz the escapist is full of geeky and hot looking girls that guys cant get enough of rite ?

Get over yourselves, majority of you are ugly fat or socially awkward twats that cant get decent looking guys in outside world.Go out and breath some fresh air.Nobody cares except those 10 year old boys...lmao,u guys r cryin over 8-10 year old pricks who cant even masturbate properly hittin on you!!!....haha

Im a asshole,I know.
Ladies and gentlemen, here is a fine example of what we are talking about. Notice the lack of spelling, spacing, coherence and throwing of insults.
Quite plainly they have a problem in finding a partner so turn it on on themselves and insult others.
We can learn from it *bows*

For the record, the majority of us are not "ugly and fat or socially awkward." We're sexy ;)
Oh yes,my spelling mistakes...oh that hurt!! how could you say that ?! T_T ...lol

All I'm saying is you guys are making such a big deal out of nothing and crying about it like asshurt Nintendo fanboys.

I'm 19 year old I couldn't even care less if some girl kicking ass in my online gaming session.I mute everyone (except playing with friends). Its easier that way.I don't even play that much online.I'm a single-player person and my girlfriend is not a gamer. But the thing is the majority of those so-called "online guys" are just 8-10 year old kids.Just mute them block them. Its that easy.

P.S I don't care about spelling, spacing and coherences unless it makes my comment hard to understand.

So thats that.Sorry if I sounded like a dickhead troll.

Exactly. Most of them claim they don't like to be bothered, but a name like that is only asking for the less mature guys to spam them with messages or talk to them.

Oh yes, I've had my share with the douchebaggery online. The only thing that's worse, when for some reason my gender becomes part of the discussions is the idiots going all "your no gurl, u just want attenzion!!11".

I agree. In my own defence though, I've had this username since I was 15. :p When it comes to online gaming, I generally prefer to play with friends or people I already know.

But I digress. Girls who do that just for attention and then complain about guys acting inappropriately towards them need a pretty good smack upside the head. Or at least need to be told to smarten up.

When I first started playing I'd hear 'Oh you got killed by a girl ha ha' but now I generally tend to mute everyone I play online with apart from my friends so it's not really a problem, not that it was that much of a problem to start with.

I do however get loads of random adds of guys. The other week I had one guy try to add me and constantly sent me messages saying 'add me add me' when I asked why he said he wanted to know if I was a boy or a girl.

Yep.

Which is why when I game online, most folks don't know (or even believe if I openly tell them) that I'm a woman until I talk on Vent.

Yes, but I'm also annoyed by the whining of some girls. Relax, it's the internet.

Well I do have to say what do you expect it is the internet? Since you are not physically there to give them a smack for saying these things of course some people are going to do things like.

Although there should be no reason for people to find out unless you go on vent or something for voice. Why would anyone want to broadcast their gender/race/sexual preference/beliefs on the internet anyway. This annoys me just as much as the idiots.

Personally I find it easier to treat everyone I meet online as a male unless proven otherwise. As in I will refer to them as he, him, his, etc.

I said hello to a girl on starcraft because she was a girl and now we are bf gf and moving in together dont listen to these whining women guys, harassment gives its own rewards
I guess what people tend to forget from gamers is that we are actually human and boys will be boys so get over it or get a tissue.
I say hello to girls on-line as well and I also met my girlfriend that way, I enjoy gaming with them because they are rare. However I think there's a difference between saying hello and harassment.

I don't believe that "hello, mind if I squad up with you?" and "hey whats your cup size?" is the same thing. So give us a break, some of us guys are just trying to be friendly and socialize.
