Lady Gaga is grown up enough to shrug off the hate she gets elsewhere on the internet, and the staff is grown up enough to choose the words we feel are most appropriate for a given situation. Frankly, I don't have anything nicer to say about her work than it seems most anyone else here on the site does (staff or no). If 'crap' is the word that comes to mind, and is the most befitting description of one's opinion, there is absolutely no reason it shouldn't be used in order to communicate effectively with like-minded individuals.Swollen Goat said:I understand that this is your website and all so content is ultimately whatever you wish it to be, but the message I get is that personal attacks are just fine so long as the person attacked isn't here to defend themselves. Or y'know, as long as it's not YOU, it's fine. If nothing else I would expect the people in authority to be a tad more mature and state their dislike for something without calling it crap. I expect that of your teenage users. Not the staff.
In other words, an attack was never made, but you declared a defensive position. Now we're all stuck in an argument no one can really win.
It's probably best to take a moment, and consider that your expectations may exceed human limits. After all, most of the staff isn't hired purely for the sake of voicing a dissenting opinion on the forums.
Edit: Susan ninja'd me, and with less words. Leave it to Editorial people to say what I mean better than I do.
