I understand that this is your website and all so content is ultimately whatever you wish it to be, but the message I get is that personal attacks are just fine so long as the person attacked isn't here to defend themselves. Or y'know, as long as it's not YOU, it's fine. If nothing else I would expect the people in authority to be a tad more mature and state their dislike for something without calling it crap. I expect that of your teenage users. Not the staff.

Lady Gaga is grown up enough to shrug off the hate she gets elsewhere on the internet, and the staff is grown up enough to choose the words we feel are most appropriate for a given situation. Frankly, I don't have anything nicer to say about her work than it seems most anyone else here on the site does (staff or no). If 'crap' is the word that comes to mind, and is the most befitting description of one's opinion, there is absolutely no reason it shouldn't be used in order to communicate effectively with like-minded individuals.

In other words, an attack was never made, but you declared a defensive position. Now we're all stuck in an argument no one can really win.

It's probably best to take a moment, and consider that your expectations may exceed human limits. After all, most of the staff isn't hired purely for the sake of voicing a dissenting opinion on the forums.

I genuinely do. Her songs are very catchy, she actually bothers to write them herself, and the picture of her with Jim Carry's face could keep me entertained for months on end.

Forgetting the last bit, I generally think she's an anomaly in the Pop music industry. While many of them just seem to be corporate creations who let others write their songs and are just there because they'll attract the teenage girl audience Lady Gaga does actually seem to be talented and has a certain amount of intelligence. The kind you might expect from a half decent one from the 90s *facepalm*. God how far we've fallen.

All I know is that some point I heard and saw something of Gwen Stefani's, and at some point I saw something and heard something of Lady Gaga's, and came to the conclusion that they are both insane, and disgusting, and their music doesn't sound good.
