I own a Scottish claymore and a Force Fx lightsabre if that counts :D

My step dad owns about 6 old British cavalry swords, a Spartan sword, a couple of machetes, two broad shields, 3 various helmets, 4 bayonets including 2 extra long royal green jacket 'swords' and a musket...

I wouldn't rob our house...

I own 2 Katanas and a small Chinese blade, they're all blunted for legal reasons, but that's why i have a whetstone in my shed.
I also have some cast iron nun-chuk's but im probably more likely to kill myself with them...

I own several samurai/ninja swords. As soon as I can afford the suit, I'm gonna dress up as Nick from L4D2 and slaughter them zombies.

No swords, the closest thing would be two machetes, along with about six survival, combat, and throwing knives. Once I was old enough to buy firearms I switched to them for collecting.

I don't own a sword but I do own axe and crowbar. And honestly, it's much more easier to slay zombie using an axe than using small dagger or sword. At least for me that is. And crowbar is just plain awesome for multitasking: opening doors, cracking zombie skulls and the list goes on. In the end sword is very limited by its capability to just killing zombies. It's nowhere as strong as crowbar.

My brother owns two katanas though. And they are awesome.

I don't own a sword for the same reason that I don't live in my mother's basement or adorn my living space with anime wall scrolls.

I have a European Longsword and a Katana, both of which are very real and were gifts from my brother.

I once had a pair of Kill Bill replica samurai swords. I ended up selling them because I didn't really 'use them' if that makes any sense.

Have 8 swords, 2 are old spanish style swords from around the 1800s, 3 are a set of katanas, and the remaining 3 are training swords for sparring (still metal, just blunted).

I like to be well stocked for an oncoming zombie apocalypse =P

No..er.. sort of... We have an old bayonet from the 1920s but we just use it as a fire poker thing. Works quite well in that respect.

I've got a short sword (about 3 feet in length) of Celtic origin. It has a hollow slot in the blade about 10 inches in legth. That slot was meant to allow the wielder to disarm opponents by allowing the attaker's blade to slide into the hollow, then twisting cause them to lose their grip.

It's not especially sharp, since I have no intention of killing a person with it. But I also acknowledge that it would be less effective against zombies than my crowbar. Also, the crowbar would have a practical application in the zombie apocalypse. You never know when you'll need to pry open a door.

I have a bunch of cooking knives. The biggest one is large enough to act as a sword in a pinch, though.
