I didn't mind the stylized combat or the upgrade system of DA2(minus excluding some party members from certain skill trees). It was at least a bit more fun to watch than DA:O. I found the story to be worse and the locations to be, of course, repetitive. DA2's story, while below average for a Bioware game, was still better than a lot of video game stories.

Ultimately, I think it's probably inevitable. But considering how long the development cycle has been, I can expect a lot more diversity in environments, if nothing else. Given the time the writers have, the story should be exquisite.

I hope so. DA:O was incredibly good. Maybe this time they will deliver a proper experience.

I'd be happy with just about anything from BioWare. So it's a yes from me.

I'm looking forward to it. I didn't find DA2 to be that bad. I'm just hoping we don't have any tantrums again from the gaming community. Seriously guys...You sound like this.

Note* I remember when it was a sin to critize a Bioware game on this site and people responded with hate mail (and at one point with "death threats).

Captcha note* Love is automatic. Nice title for a song.

After seeing what they plan on doing with companion armor, they can all wear armor, it will just look visually distinctive on each character, I feel as if they took the DA2 legitimate criticisms to heart. I'm definetly optimistic

I loved Origins but I have yet to play 2 so I have no knowledge or opinion of it.

But what I think would be a cool thing for 3 is if your character from Origins and Hawke team up with a character you make for DA3 to do whatever world saving quest you have to do, and have the origins character looking older. Might be cool if that happened because of the character you create in Origins, by the end of Origins I felt really attached to my character after guiding him through and saving Ferelden. I personally would like to see my Origins character as an old man in the next one travelling with Hawke and the DA3 person, kinda like how Ezio has aged in the Assassins Creed games. And maybe have the Origins person as a sort of mentor like figure for your DA3 character.

I want there to be a Dragon Age 3. Which is good, because they're making it. Unfortunately, they're setting it in Orlais, which is fricking boring, especially since it is (apparently) going to be based on the whole mage/templar conflict. Again. Boring. Especially since its not going to the Tevinter Imperium.

So yes, Dragon Age 3, and lets hope it does well enough for a Dragon Age 4, so we can go to the Teviter Imperium and kick some serious mage ass.

All I want is more of Dragon Age Origins, continuing that story with Morrigan and her child.

Since the next story will take place in Orlais with the Inquisition and all that, but I really hope they won't forget Morrigan as well.

DA:O is probably my favourite game ever, and while I am aware of what many percieve as its problem (combat being what I hear complained about most) at the end of the day the story and the characters get me invested every time I play the game, to the point I find it slightly irratating that there isnt a character I dislike.

I appreciated what DA2 tried to do to sort the combat issues (though I feel too many RPG elements became over simplified), but at the end of the day the story tried to do too much and at the same time never raised the stakes to match that in DA:O (my crowning example of this is in the final section of the game cullen telling you, if you sided with the templars, that the crisis of the ferelden circle was much worse...and that was one of the easier bits of origin). As for the characters they were very hit and miss, which resulted in me not really caring too much overall.

For my part I play a Bioware game for the story and characters and unless the actual gameplay is cripplingly bad I probably won't be to badly affected. So DA3 I would be more than happy to see providing priority is given to the writting with respect to making it more like DA:O, as for the gameplay sort it out whichever way people generally prefer

I'm a massive Dragon age fan of both Origins, Awakening and 2, so yes they should make a third.

While everyone else got excited for Mass effect, Dragon age was more for me. I love the fighting style, the classes, everything about it. And it's likely I'll even pre-order it, which I hardly ever seem to do.

O was awesome 2 had far to many plotpoints that were forced no matter what. Like no matter what your going to help the Qunari Mage escape through the under tunnels even though my very first instinct was to go. "Not touching this with a ten foot Pole."

It should (and probably will) be a mix between Origins and 2. Origins' aesthetic and scope along with 2's combat (slightly changed though, make it more tactical instead of flashy). I did like Origins' combat though, because it's similar to D&D, but I see where people can be put off.

I doubt they'll make the same mistake as DA2 and riddle it with so much plot holes I can call it a brothel. They seem to be taking their sweet time and that's great, I don't want another rushed cash-grab.

YES YES YES.

Bioware are so underrated these days, Dragon Age one and two were both incredible, best RPGs I've ever played.

Yes, there should be one, but it needs to be a lot better then 2. Needs a better story, more variety and meaningful choices/moral dilemmas. Still willing to give them a chance, though I'd need to see footage/play a demo before they secured a sale.

I certainly hope there will be a Dragon Age 3. I want a dedicated isometric perspective like in the 1st one though.
... since the hell when was DA:O isometric? I feel you are thinking of a different game...

Edit: Unless you mean the "tactical" view? Which was completely optional (even during battle) for PC users...

Should there be a dragon age 3?
Absolutely! The Dragon Age universe still has a lot of good stories to be told, the story is far from over.

Does that mean it will be ~good~? That is the million dollar question. I think it has the potential to be so. We shall see when it comes out.

Despite its cripping flaws I enjoyed DA2, and if the game came by itself I'd probably give DA3 a shot.

However: it'll be Origin exclusive, and that's a no-no. Too bad for them, I ain't buying.
