Oh, boo-hoo, they don't change enough between each game.

Aren't there other series that change almost nothing (in terms of overall gameplay) between the games but are still loved? Like, oh, I dunno, Halo?

Hear me out:

Rather than adding 8 bajillion pokemon, add about 50. Spend the rest of your time and money on an actually interesting story, improved overworld mechanics, etc.

That's . . . exactly what they did with Black and White so far as I can tell.

They added 156 pokemon, and put in what appears to be the biggest plot ever in a pokemon game, while adding in epic new items, mechanics, abilities, moves and tons of wifi things.

Also I only dislike about, 10-15 pokemon in this generation. Out of 156. Plus a lot of them have great stats.

It wount end because it sells who cares its over done I think halo is overdone but why cause it sells. However i do enjoy 1 or 2 halos like pokemon so i don't think you will see the end of pokemon unless no one buys Black & White.

From what I have seen, Black and White is not only rejuvenating the franchise, but it may be the best game since the ORIGINALS.

Actually not evil. They have very good intentions: They want to stop Pokemon abuse. Problem is, they think pokemon should be completley free and should be used for nothing more than friendship.

The new mechanics are exactly what were needed and it's a refreshing breath in the games to have to catch ONLY new pokemon, which forces us to get off our Dragonite crutches and actually go catch some pokemon.

I do think they need to take a lot of time with the next one.

I'd like it if they'd stop making new Pokemon, and instead just improve the games they already have. Ya know, make 'em more complex and advanced or somethin'.

Pokemon Colosseum was a good start. Maybe make the battles more like...SSBM? That'd be kinda cool.

I don't mean to sound like a dick, but when I read that, all I read was "WAA WAA WHERES MY PIKACHU!!!" Seriously, if there series is still making money, then by jove make more games. All I have to say is this, Pokemon is meant to be "My first RPG" not some in depth complicated RPG with intense leveling and crazy over the top complicated shenanigans, no more of this trying to get the right nature in a Scizzor so you can have him deal 1.5X damage +.5 extra damage plus 10% more damage for STB... Seriously, bring it back to what it was, a simple, fun game that was based more on seeing how many of the little buggers you could catch as opposed to how convoluted you could get with the XP and all that jazz.

I don't care if they make 5000 new pokemon just as long as the original fun is brought back, Exploring a new, and unique environment where you feel out of your depths, up until you take out the Elite Four/ other flavor of the week super tournament.

Pokemon will never end as long as their are still people watching/playing it...if your a true fan to Pokemon, you will respect that this a show for kids, and not us teens/adults, therefore it should not change just Because you and few other don't like it.

No matter what the hell you try to do, it will take alot for Pokemon to change, think of Pokemon in the real world, in our world Animals are different all over the globe, same with Pokemon, why should they keep it relativity the same when it isn't in the real world? Hell i'd love to see what Pokemon live in Africa, the amount of stuff they could do.

This. Well spoken my pokemon comrade, well spoken.

It will continue forever but it is targeted at the new generation of kids picking it up for the first time, not grizzled old veterans like me.

I would like to see a South America-ish region next personally. We've seen Japan (Johto), what Nintendo thinks of America (Kanto) and... eh the other two (I'm not totally sure what they were).

Spoiler: My one gripe about Gen 4 and possibly Gen 5

My gripe is the goofy monster designs coming out now but that is the only thing I really care about. They can do whatever they want with the story, the gyms, the champion and the region. Just make the monster design appealing to your older fans. Please?

In anycase, I know that I am not the target consumer anymore. I can accept that.

Fuck yeah. I've long imagined a pokemon game with a huge world that you can run around in full 3D, kinda like Oblivion, where you can run across pokemon and when you fight you fight in real time, directly controlling your pokemon, in a style sort of like War of the Monsters, back on PS2.

It's Nintendo. The thought of a new IP scares them into corners. They're making a profit with pokemon through kids and adults reminiscing of the good old days so why would they change? I doubt opinions will ever kill a franchise unless they affect a company's wallet.

I hope they never end the games. No more games means the manga, Pokemon Special/Pokemon Adventures will end, and that would be a very sad day indeed. Seriously, the manga's worth checking into- it actually has character developement, and completely new stories (and main characters) every arc.

Yeah, the anime REALLY has become more oriented towards kids. Like there are less adult themes in the show and it is so childish. Like the episode where that tard neglected Charmander. They would NEVER show something that serious in the anime anymore. It is all "fun and games" now.

The game is a different story. There are two kinds of people. People who deny anything past 151 and people who follow up to the current 649 [like me]. I like the direction Pokemon is going. Sure there have been a handful of stupid ass pokemon. But nothing is perfect. Black and White is actually pretty promising according numerous sources and it has attained to record of fastest selling game in Japan within a two day time frame. Why end what is clearly still so freakin' popular. The show needs to be fixed but keep the game in the direction it is going. Though I do wish at times that the games wasn't so linear. But eh, what can you do? I still love the game.

To be honest, if they really wanted to make some money and play massive fanservice for people like me who've been with the series (love/hate on and off in my case) since the begining, they should just sink their efforts into making one well-done amalgamated pokemon game.

And for the record, I never cared for the anime. Or any of the merch other than the games.
