I think the pc is just more confortable, but if you play on consoles a lot, you can get used to it.

I only play shooters on consoles right now due to no longer owning an adequate PC, but damn did I love playing shooters on the PC. 1000 times better playing a FPS on PC.

I don't no why but pc controls just don't feel right to me the mouse is fine but I don't like using the keyboard also taking your hand off the right thumb stick is not as hard as it sounds especially when you get used to them or just grow up playing on the consoles like I did.

I honestly like PC FPSes better, but then you get some games like L4D which was designed for both and is piss easy on the PC because of better controls.

basically all these threads turn into consoles suk, pc owns u rofl

ill be honest, i prefer consoles, the only reason a pc community might be better is because half of them don't use microphones at all, of course the pothead or drunkard will occur in a live game, but then its just a new way to debate with somebody the intricacies of abortions isn't it?

I prefer the pc's mouse and keyboard combo, I just can't aim very well with an analog stick.
But if you want to play fps on a console then go right ahead.

I haven't played many FPS games on a PC. I think the last one I played was XIII, which was years ago. But I have to admit, the controls on a PC are superior due to keyboard and mouse input, its just that if I tried to play one now, I would fail badly. Also I haven't got a gaming PC anymore, so I stick to console shooters.

For aim, the mouse is generally better than the analog stick. However, analog sticks don't stutter and jump and feel as dijointed from the rest of the control system as the mouse does.

However, for the rest of the controls, the gamepad while always be the superior choice for shooters. Simplier, easier to use, easier on the hands and more precise.

The other argument that comes up quite often is that it takes more "skill" to use a controller. "Skill" in that sense obviously meaning that it's harder to do/control.
Actually, it can be argued the other way around as well, saying that it takes less "skill" to use the controler due to extra automation.

The way I see it, console controls need auto-aim to achieve the same result as K+M without auto-aim. Therefore, I conclude that K+M is superior since it needs less help to get the same results.

PC, You can't aim anywhere near as good with a analog stick. With a keyboard your whole selection of weaponry is easier to swap through (Number keys above WASD).

Consoles have aim-assist but it's nothing compared to the precise and exact aim of the mouse. If you PC is good, why would you want to play a FPS on a console?

Your mouse shouldn't stutter and jump, if it is, theres something wrong with your mouse, you should get a new one.

When you can pixel-perfect snipe someone through the eye with an analogue stick, you let me know.

The auto-aim in that game is ridiculous.
Point your gun in the general direction of an enemy, and look though the sight/scope, and it'll be dead-on and you just have to pull the trigger.
It's certainly helpful, but it's just... wrong.

Seriously these topics don't specify that you can hook up a controller to a PC and and a keyboard to the counsel. I can see why people complain about these topics too they are so tiresome and repetitive.

With games in general, when deciding which platform to go with, I look at what the game was originally built for. If it was made for the PC and ported over to consoles, I play the PC version, but if it was ported to the PC from the console, I play the console version. The same is true with FPS's. While I DO prefer PC controls for an FPS, I don't have anything against console FPS's unless they were ported to the console from the PC. However, I've tried playing games like Halo on the PC, and it doesn't work for me. Halo was built from the ground up for the console, and you can clearly see this in the PC version.

The point I'm trying to make is, with FPS's, (and any other game) I play it the way the developers meant for it to be played, whether it be on the PC or console.

FPS on consoles is an abomination, if i had a time machine i would go back in time and prevent it from happening. Then i would go on an excellent adventure or perhaps a bogus journey.
