seeing as how a real grenade would kill me no matter what i tried to do to get away from it, unless i had lightning quick reflex's that day, i grab you, yes you ADRIAN, and throw you on top of it. then i throw myself on top of you (no homo) ensuring you take the full blast of the grenade, leaving me unharmed and ready to hunt down the fucker that threw that at me

I would run of course. Picking it up would take too much time, kicking it might not send it far away, amd jumping is plain stupid.

But then what do you plan to do when your immovable object gets hit by an unstoppable object?

do the sensible thing! Take off my helmet and put it over the grenade. Assuming I have one on. If not then "OH SHI!"

Jump and lay down 1-2 meters from it. granades explodes in a V up in the air. and for the love of Valhalla, dont pick it up. you dont know if it's been "pinned" (pulled the pin, hold it for 2 sekunds, and then trown)

If I happened to see amoung all the gun fire and explosions I would probably yell OH SH*T. But there is only a slight chance that I would see it soon enough to react so I would most likly have nade shards blown into my face.

I would run away as fast as i could, but if it was a war and i know that they are throwing grenades at me - throw it back.
If you are not prepared, you're never going to pick it up and throw it away.

The standard procedure of jumping twenty foot into the air and scattering myself over a wide area.
Wouldn't have enough time to lob it back, I think.

I think the smartest move would be to scoop and throw, kinda like a snowball, but if a grenade landed in front of me, I think I'd just panic and run, and ultimately get a back full of shrapnel.

grenade=/=soccer ball. You might find that kicking a large hunk of metal moves it only a few feet and breaks your foot. Or the poorly coordinated might mis-kick the grenade and have it go sailing off towards other people. Picking up and throwing it would take too long as well. Best possible solution is to GTFO, preferrably to somewhere with any form of cover, and lie down, face-first, with your leg towards the blast. I may be wrong here, but I speculate that a grenade's blast follows a somewhat randomized inverse square law for shrapnel per square inch.
Distance from blast=most important
Surface area of body exposed=2nd most important
Running and Diving= best of both.

IRL I do not have reflexes honed to deal with such situations, so I would merely go "Oh shi-" and turn to run before I died. (Either that or attempt to yell "Take Cover!" in my best Space Marine-y voice.)

Seeing how real life grenades have a very large radius of effect - compared to most games, at least... There isn't much to do. If you can hide behind something, preferably an overturned table or a wall, who knows. Table probably wouldn't save ya, but a good brick wall might.

Or, alternative, throw someone next to you on top of it and see if his or her body is good enough to stop the impact while you duck away.

Which brings up a question for those who claim to be savvy in fields of real life warfare - would a modern frag grenade, or whatever you call them, blow through a human body in above scenario without any significant change or would it work? I mean, we all know the generic "self-sacrifice" trope that gets used in certain war movies and war books, where some guy jumps on top of grenade to save his buddies. Would it work on modern weaponry?
I believe it does work, mostly. Because the soldiers have body armor, and the shrapnel penetrates the first side, the soft tissues, and is mostly stopped by the body armor on his back. It would appear the soft tissues of the body slow down the shrapnel enough to be stopped.

I would kick that little ball of death and hit the deck with my head facing the other way.

Running would help but still be rather bad way to react considering how far the shrapnel flies.

The answer "go for the nearest cover" is missing and is easily the most effective one. The damage is done by shrapnel (not explosion) which don't pierce well, making even light cover quite effecive.
