i think it should be like this.

Smartest Move: Run
Stupid move of desperation: try and throw it back
Idiotic move: kick it away
Why? What happens if you kick a live grenade??? Because that is what I would do, I mean, if it was about to explode running does nothing so kicking would be fquicker than throwing and would move it faster from you than running would you from it.

Well, grenades are designed to make you run, by threatening you with a bang, so I would run.

It depends on the circumstances. If I was being pinned down by gunfire, the wisest thing to do would be to throw it back or kick it, because if I run I'll be hole-punched. Yet I'm a pussy, so I'd probably see grenade> shit pants > leg it.

I'd run, only to turn around when I'm about 50 feet away. I'd then wait for it to explode, because who doesn't want to watch a grenade explode? If it didn't after about ten minutes, I'd go examine it.
Your gonna be fucked when i invent the 10minute and 20 second grenade fuse.

Also 50 feet! You run fast man. :D

OT: Id take the explosion like a man, and in about 8 seconds the blood will fade from my eye sight and my health bar will go up. :p

The 'nade would probably be cooked, so throwing it back would result in you realising your arm and head were now in several places at once.
Running would be the most cunning plan, either that or curling up in a ball and hoping it's a dud.

If it were in a game i would probably die after trying to run away, and with my last breath curse the existence of any and all grenades, mostly because i hadn't used mine yet.

But because this is real life i would either
a) Run away if no-one is nearby
b) Try to lob it away if people are nearby and i still have a will to live
c) Throw myself onto the grenade to save others if my will to live is lost, say for example in a real war.

I guess i will vote a) then

I think in this situation you've got to take into account that a modern grenade has a kill radius of 100m on flat ground so any amount of running or jumping isnt really going to help. I think i'd throw because i'm pretty accurate so i might be able to get it behind something to shield me from the blast

100m.

no. The fragments can travel upto 230m, but the kill radius is 5m and casualty radius around 15m

If everything within 100 meters died when you threw it, well put it this way, im taking the throwing knife perk instead, cause i cant throw 100+ meters

I'd do what the guy I know who survived a grenade attack in vietnam did, throw myself flat on the terrain below where the grenade landed. Worked for him he didn't get a scratch on him, although his hearing was kinda screwed for the rest of the day.

I'd lob it into my bedroom, then I could pretend the level of chaos in there is down to the explosion.

The scary thing being I'm 36 and still have a disaster area for a bedroom, lol.
