My training tells me to run and hide behind something sturdy, yelling and screaming to warn others all the while.
But if I had to make a choice between running or taking the blast to save my comrades, I'm sure I would hop on top with my helmet and vest taking the brunt of the force.
In reality though... I'd probably crap myself.

Kick it away, but also probably run away as well. The blast-radius of your modern grenade is such that every foot you put between you and it before BOOM counts. (Think your standard one is 20 feet? 25?) Point is, never stand there like a dunce AFTER kicking it.

That was you???

Anyway, I would probably just run and end up getting killed in the explosion and shrapnel of it.

If a grenade lands at your feet your dead...real grenades have a huge kill radius. A M67 hand grenade (the one featured in CoD4) has a kill radius of 15 METRES. So unless you have some kind of super human running abilities you might as well save your energy and think of a good one liner to go out on.
Anyways, I would say "OH SH-" most likely.

Well, since the shrapnel is going to travel outward from the explosion center fairly equally spread, it will be best if the grenade stays on the ground, where the ground itself will take at least 50% of the projectiles and most of the shock of the explosion. Also, the further away it is, the more spread out the swarm of projectiles is going to be, thus its imperative to get as far away from the grenade as possible to minimize the chance of getting hit by shrapnel.

Thus, I would first kick it in the same direction it came from, since kicking will be faster than picking it up, then I would throw myself on the ground, away from the grenade, to minimize the surface facing the blast center.

i think it should be like this.

Smartest Move: Run
Stupid move of desperation: try and throw it back
Idiotic move: kick it away
It varies depending on type, but hand grenades generally have a five second fuse and an effective radius (meaning it will likely score multiple hits on anything closer) of at least twenty meters. Can you run twenty meters from a dead stop in five seconds minus however long its been since the pin was pulled?

Your best option is to dive behind the nearest dense object and drop prone. With no cover you best bet is to kick the thing as hard as you can and then drop prone. Picking up and throwing the grenade should be used when you don't have enough wind up room for a kick. Running is suicide as theres no way you'll get outside it's lethal radius in time in addition to presenting it with a large target because you're on your feet.
well i was going to dive anyway. lol

Drop to the ground and roll away. That is what you with a real grenade, because grenades explode upward and outward.

Your list disappoints me...

was reading about how inconsistant the fuses of the American Grenades in WW2 were... it could be a 2 second fuse. or a 5 second fuse.

thus they did not cook their grenades :p

Kick it away. I think I could get farther distance quicker by kicking it rather then running, however a combination of the two would be what I probably do. Either that or take any nearby, solid cover.

Throw it as far away as I could as quickly as I could and then try to become one with the earth. If it doesn't explode inside ten seconds or so, I'd move well outside it's blast radius and notify the authorities. All the other options on the poll would generally be classified as "stupid choices".

Furburt = badass. I'd probably run like hell.
