Poll: How do you mark your place in a book?

I have a small collection of bookmarks, but sometimes I just use a random piece of paper.

I get to the end of the chapter.

I usually am just able to remember what page I left off on, so I don't need a book mark.

I use a playing card, half the cards are missing now from when I misplace or destroy a card when reading.

Bookmark. I use a 10000 rubbles bill I got from a trip in Moscow in 1996. That thing isn't worth what it looks like it should be worth, and I couldn't exchange it back once I got back to Canada, so yeah.... pretty awesome bookmark.

i have a nice collection of bookmarks, different designs for different kinds of books, but i use only the first one i can find on my chaotic desk. or some piece of paper.
if its a book i am working on atm i just make a mark with a pencil. thats safer.

Where is the, "I memorise the page contents" option? Because I do that.

I've got an awesome pewter pistol bookmark that I've had for years, but since I've started reading on the train I've switched to random bits of paper, don't want to lose the awesome one. Never really understood the dog-earing method, always thought it could end up confusing in re-reads.

I simply memorize the page number

Anything. If there is something near that can be used as a bookmark, it's used. If not, I dog ear it. I can still read it if the page has been folded, so why would it bother me?

Either memorise what's on the page, the page number or a bookmark. I NEVER dogear.

I have a bookmark for paper books and automatically mark it with my kindle. I hate dog-earing books. Magazines I dog ear though.

I usually Dog Ear it or leave it open face down to that page, but if the book belongs to someone else I usually use bookmarks.
