I live in the same suburb as someone with the same first and last name as me, and I know his son and daughter in law, both of whom have the same full names as cousins of mine.

So... not at all?

I am reasonably sure myself and my father's family are the only Lohses in the whole of Ireland and the UK.
I mean, I've never encountered another one.

The short answer is - if you meet someone with my last name, they're somehow related to me.

I'm from Iceland, and my surname is Danish. Kinda sucks that way. It's Kjaernested, only the ae close together, I can't write it here since it'll come out like æ, but it's just one letter, looks like ae put together and sounds like ai or aye or something like that. Really weird, I know.

Hock, pronounced like "Hawk".

Never met a soul with the same name, but I do seem to recall that other people have had the name... so I strike me under the "Fairly Unique", at least for this country. Correct me if I'm wrong, please - I'm actually kinda curious now as to if it is anything in the way of unique...

I got Trevarrow. Everyone who I see when I Google it are my blood relatives, even if they split off from my family a looong time ago. So very unique.

Raine, pronounced just like the word rain. It's pretty unique, and pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

My Surname is more often seen as a first name by my group of friends. However, I have met 2-3 people with my last name outside of my family. (i say 2-3 because one of them might be a distant cousin of mine. This person is also my mom's boss)

Mine is the name of a small town in England, I live in Wales. As it comes from my father who is English then clearly I must inherit the town or something...its like the law.

NOTE: My surname is Brackley.

I think my surname is more common as a first name than a last name. Anyone know someone else with the last name Bruce?

According to Statistics Norway, I share my surname with 54 other Norwegians. It's a german surname, and as such, I always have to spell it for people.
