"The best parts as of 22/11/2009" are better than any of the latest-generation consoles, so I'd go with a PC (Macintosh). A PC can also do a lot more than play games.

If my 360 broke? I'd probably just get another 360.

I don't like the motion sensitivity on the Wii, and since I haven't played on a PS3 yet, I'm not sure if I like the sixaxis controls. Stick with what you know right? Especially if it's a one time only deal.

PC FTW. The best games I have ever played are either on PC or would be great on it (Fable: TLC was great and I have it on PC and love the controls (yes I have tried console version, I prefer keyboard), Counter Strike: Source has proven the awesome-ness of mods and I prefer FPS on PC, and FFX would have been equal to or better than it is on the PS2 on the PC).

Also, a brand new, top-of-the-range computer?? YES PLEASE!!!

I would take a PC, provided that I get to use a 360 control to play the games, namely because the Keyboard and Mouse set up has always failed me when it came to playing certain games

I would certainly prefer all of the games to be on the computer. I love hotkeys.

Ze PC. The controls are more convinient, the platform is more open, and it's much more familiar than consoles. After all, i grew up as a PC-gamer, and i would probably jump so high i'd escape the Earth's gravitational pull if Ratchet & Clank games apperaed on PC.

I'd go with a PC. So much more versatility in the controls, and the only fault is the price of keeping it updated, but if that's taken care of, then there's really nothing to worry about. Plus then you don't have to compromise when roommates want to watch TV.

Computer of course, its the best choice because it can, well, do everything.

And it's free.

Now if I had to pay I'd be torn between rebuying a PS3 or swaping bakc (thats right back) over to the 360.

A PS3. I've owned Sony systems for all of my gaming life, so the controller scheme is branded into my subconcious. I can't get used to the PC's sensitivity, the switched left analog stick and D-pad on the 360 controller always throws me off, and the Wii is the Wii, which only leaves the PS3.

But, seeing as that will never happen in 2 million years, you're stuck with the choice you made.

Am I the only guy who's going to openly say the Wii? I mean come on! Borderlands on Wii! Sports games with the Wii remote! Driving games with the Wii Wheel! You like RTS games or RPG? Wii Classic Controller! Retro Player? Gamecube Controller! Wii Motion Plus and PS3/360 graphics put together equals FGGS (Freaking Great Game System!!) You feel like an actual Soldier/Mage/Archer/General/Jedi/Sith/etc.! The Immersion capability is endless!! As for the complex, unintuitive PC games, there is a Wii Keyboard so huzzah! Now, feel free to flame me until my avatar turns into an inferno but that's my opinion and as to the people who said PC...don't blame you, nicely varied opinions.

You can connect a gamepad (PS3 or X360) to a PC and it plays exactly the same you know xD
I do it almost every time I play a platformer of some kind...
Since when did the PS3 controller work on computers?

PS3 because I'm most comfortable with the controls. After all, I'm getting it for free, so that's all it really comes down to, right? Best controls?
nooooo
it comes down to the easiest to use, bbest ability, and overall usefullness which would be a pc/mac
Well, considering I already have a Mac, I can use that for everything short of gaming. And as I said in an earlier post, I'd rather play my games on a large screen and with friends when possible, so I'd definitely get one of the consoles. Playstation controllers are most comfortable to me, therefore, I chose a PS3. But, it's all preference based anyways. I completely understand why most people would rather have a PC or Mac; This just seems more practical based on my situation (assuming my Mac doesn't break too, which it shouldn't, according to the rules of the OP, since I don't use it for gaming).
