Are there cow Pokemon or fish Pokemon? Don't think so. So,no. Maybe yes if there actually are.
Magikarp is the most obvious, though there are a ton more. As for cows, there's Miltank. *has an encyclopaediac knowledge of Pokémon and can't tell if this is good or bad*
And Tauros. Don't forget him. I also have a pretty encyclopaedic knowledge up to the Sapphire generation. I refuse to accept the newest ones, they're just too stupid. Although Lucario is cool.

Crabby and Kingler would taste great, as would Corphish. :D
Yep, I hated the starter Pokémon for the latest generation. Especially since the Fire type was the worst-looking of all (and I always choose Fire types, regardless of the fact that I always get my butt kicked at the first Gym (Rock type). I am immune to the "so i herd u leik mudkipz" plague, because I prefer Torchic ^.^).
Torchic and its evolutions kicked significant amounts of posterior. Though I've got the fire starter on Pearl right now, it's not great. I'm actually training a Psyduck to defeat the rock gym >_>

I don't care how old I am, the Pokemon games are still great :D

I hated the new Pokedex though. Seeing them completes it? Well there goes all need for Pokeballs! It took most of the fun out of Pearl for me, and I seriously hope SoulSilver uses the old method.

Oh and another Pokemon that may taste good is Pidgey and its evolutions, Pigeon is really quite nice.
Don't eat Pidgeot! I like Pidgeot! And good god, there's another generation already?

And I prefer the new Pokédex in some ways. It gives me a bit of a happy rather than seeing most of the Pokédex unfilled because I have no multiplayer and so can't trade. But yeah, they are sub-RPGs really, but they're still damn addicting. I mean, for a start, it's an interesting universe (I mean, how many fandoms have so many WTH elements in them?). :p

I'd hate to be the poor guy that collects caviar from Gyrados though. o_O(!)

Pikachu would be too lean to fry. It's a rodent, and rodents are notorious for having little to no intra-muscular fat, meaning dry meat when cooked.

In my Pokemon RP that we have going on in the Forum Games, one of the characters(mine) goes hunting whenever the group's meat supplies run low. Tasty, tasty Mareep.

Well I'd assume that even trying to eat them would result in me getting my ass handed to me by their attacks, so no I would not try to eat them.

Certainly.

But would vegetarians eat plant-type Pokemon, or not?
That's a good question, im guessing that vegetarians would seeing as most grass types are meant to be plants.

Well Pidgeot would make a meal for 10 really, but is probably better for transport. Anything with wings that can power it into mach 1 would be a bit tough and stringy..

Yeah it can be useful, but it left me feeling a bit put out that I'd only caught about..12 creatures, yet completed the local 'dex.

The new generation is a remake of Gold and Silver and I really cannon wait for the UK release, they were my favourite out of all the series. :D

Haha! Gyrados caviar would indeed be entertaining to collect. But don't worry, all you gotta do is dodge the hyper beams ;)

Do you think Parasect would be a hallucinogenic?

Most certainly. It'd be eating animals with the certified power to kill you to death. Pikachu, for example, would be like electric eel, but red meat as opposed to fish.

Yes, there are indeed cow and fish Pokemon. And pig. Chicken too.

EDIT
Idea has formed. I shall now forge a 'Pokemon Recipe Book' thread. Here be a linky: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.155702

I'd eat Magikarp.
Im sure that my Pokemon fandom will show in this post
Magikarp is inedible due to its almost impenetrable thick scales that protect what little meat that it actually has, making the work not worth the amount of food gained(explained in the original season of pokemon, SS annie episode where James tries to eat his Magikarp).
God that sounded nerdier than it needed to be.

OT:
For me I would love barbecued Toadidile slow roasted over the back of a cindiquil and prepared with a side of Oddish salad.

I feel bad saying that but it sounds so good

Probably. Pokemon are that world's animals, after all.

I believe there was mention of eating a turtle sort of Pokemon In Gold.
Can't remember it's name though.
I remember that, in Silver, Team Rocket sold Slowpoke tails for eating.
While they didn't kill those Pokemon, they did mutilate them.
And I think I remember that Magikarps are supposedly eaten, too.
Furthermore, Miltanks' milk is a popular beverage.
Never played Gold, though considering what I know, it certainly sounds possible.
There are plenty of Pokemon-products that are consumed by the people of that world.
Of course. I mean, it's not like they have regular animals to eat. (Do they?)
So survival = eating Pokemon.

Looks like it would be a nice tender meat.
Actually I think she's mostly air. It'd be like eating a balloon.

I would probably eat most of them. I'm not Onyx would be so tasty though...

Oh, a remake. Yay! I lost my Silver version (which was a pity, because I preferred it to Gold). The remake will be useful since my RP character mentioned above lives in Hoenn but spent the first fifteen years of her life in Johto.

"Anything with wings that can power it into mach 1 would be a bit tough and stringy.."

Except Skarmory. Then it's more likely to eat you.

And yes, I think that Parasect would made a good drug trip. But really, the best Pokémon to eat would probably be Wailord.

I could totally go for a Spearow.
It was Slowpoke tails...

OT: I'd imagine eating a Geodude would be tough.
