Are there cow Pokemon or fish Pokemon? Don't think so. So,no. Maybe yes if there actually are.
there are fish, cow, bull and even shrimp pokemon. here is in fact a pokemon that is pretty much a few eggs with eyes that bounce around.

OT: I would throw Pikachu in a frying pan... but only to see it suffer. I would however eat most of the pokemon as they seem delicious.
btw I just realized, they eat meat at some points in the pokemon series. and there are no normal animals. So if they do it, why shouldn't we?

Really, It's a case of, if you was living in the Pokémon universe, which I'm assuming to be around Pokémon you'd have to be.

Have you ever noticed a genuine real-world animal in that universe?
I haven't.

Now for the series, I think the only actual animal I saw in that was a flock of birds which may or may not have been just a flock of flying pokémon.

Also consider that in Pokémon (the series) they eat rice, and meats, it's never really looked at in great detail what these meats are, they're often named as the dishes they happen to be associated with in the real world, but If there are no noticable real-world animals...

Where do these meats come from?

I can believe that vegetables are grown and eaten, wheat based foods are harvested and made, so bread and rice are possible.

But Meat, without real animals to be bred for slaughter and consumption, you'd have to almost certainly begin to think that the populace of Pokémon (The meat eating populace at least) Ash included do eat the very animals that they swore to venture out and befriend.

So, would I eat Pokémon?

If I didn't want to spend of my life living on rice and bread, you can be sure as fuck I would.

This depends on if there are still normal animals. If there were only Pokémon like in the world they live in, of course I'd eat them. I'd have to if I wanted meat. But, I don't eat a lot of meat anyway, so it may be easy to cut out of the diet.

I don't think I'd eat any pokémon of the same species that I owned. So, no Magikarps (I absolutely love Magikarp), no Absol, no Houndoom. I think I'm pretty safe with the last two, though. No one'll eat those anyway. Tauros and Starly might be kind of good, actually. And what would be the equivalent of chicken? Torchic?

Dang. Maybe I'd have to give that up. Chicken is my favorite meat, but Blaziken is one of my favorite pokémon.

Ooh, shiny! And I'm more of a squid person (tastes like chicken!). And thanks for the compliment. It's stagnated a bit for the actual story (due to lack of time or will to write anything), but the role-playing with a friend just hit a new level of character traumatising, which is always fun.
Haha I don't think I've ever eaten squid actually. I have a vague feeling I may have but can't remember.

Character traumatising is indeed always good fun, that's what video games are for! Freedom to cruelly treat digital characters however you see fit.

I think that Oddish would make a good salad by the way, so I wrote a recipe. It's on that "pokemon recipe book" thread ;)
Pokémon recipe thread?

And yes, but Pokémon and traumatising don't quite go hand in hand... okay, wait, scratch that. :p Still, I don't think the designer had a Jolteon getting her heart pierced by a broken rib and killed, a Linoone getting shot and killed and a human getting shot and knocked into a month-long coma were entirely part of his plan. >.> Especially since he created Pokémon because he hated the violence in video games. <.<

Aye, a Pokemon recipe thread. MMH has crafted several tasty looking meals on there, as have a number of others.
