I'd never want to go on forever. Screw that. I have enough of a tough time with humanity now, let alone having to see it destroy itself Completely through folly.
I know exactly what you mean mate. But think of it this way: if you live forever there's a good chance you actually get to enjoy some peace and quiet from the rest of humanity because mankind have wiped itself out through said folly. That'd be pretty sweet wouldn't it? :p

I would, if I get to choose when to die. I don't want to see the end of the world, but living forever will rock once I get enough money to sustain myself.

If it was eternal youth, and I had the option to kill myself if I wanted then definitely, I would love to live forever. I would love to see the world and the human race evolve before me very eyes.

Now, I would be the first to say that I'm scared of dying, but to be frank, I am even more scared of living forever. If you think about it, you would have to ask yourself, why would you want to? What would you do for eternity on earth? As the song says, "It's a small world after all" and it would probably only take a few lifetimes' worth of time to see all anyone would want to see. Sure, the human race could come up with new and exciting experiences, but there is the downside that you WILL see everyone you ever care about die in one way or another. Also, as much as we can come up with new ways of living and new technology and all that, eventually one would probably get bored or tired of life and want to move on. Without the possibility of ending your life, it would be a pretty nightmarish existence after that happens.

I'd live forever and chronicle all of the major events in the world as they happened and play games in between

Live forever. But if I could end it when I choose that would be a nice feature. Oh and if I never get old because wasting away and living forever as a frail old man would suck.

Who says I have the intention of staying on earth? Of course you'll get bored with just one single planet after awhile when there's an entire universe out there to see.

No a normal life span is good for me, I know after a few thousand years I would snap and try to kill everyone, then probably get stuck in a small area forever, so I think I'll pass

I'd like to live forever.
If I dont age, I dont die (I'd still feel pain and sustain injury though) and I never forget.

If possible I'd like to start sometime well into the past, centuries ago.
It would be awesome if I could take one other person with me to be immortal.

I wouldn't want there to be a way for me to commit suicide.

I'd just roam around learning and traveling and eventually start fighting in any wars I could find.

Yes, I take it this means you are invulnerable as well? I would make myself a God Emperor and then make ever ok.

Damn Ninjas.

To be able to play my favourite games for all eternity, having all the time in the world. I think I would destroy all the diversity that humans have created. As every one would be related to me. Does that make me God?

Queen;
But touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can have forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today
Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever?
Forever is our today

depends on what kind of immortality, if I'm indestructable and untouchable by old age, death, disease then yes.
