Yes. It is always ok to cry.

Bottling things up leads to..

Aggressive and/or irrational thoughts.

It depends on the situation, but for the most part, you shouldn't be afraid to release your true emotions.

Of course, you shouldn't cry because you lost your fucking iPod or because your vibrator lost its batteries because that's petty stuff that no one should cry about.

But since that's rarely the case, yes, it's alright to cry...cryin' gets the sad out of you ;)

I cry all the time. I personally attest that it does NOT take a big man to cry. It takes a wimp. I am firmly in the Hank Hill philosophy of repressing any such nonesense, along with the consiquential gut pains you might get from doing so.

"Only the weak bleed!" Sorry, couldn't help myself.

OT: It's always important to relieve stress and emotions. Crying is one way to do so, but I'd say that there's a time and a place. Crying over mommy not buying you a toy is stretching it.

I can't cry. Even when I want to I just can't get it to come out. It's a really horrible feeling.
Does it make me cool if I say this?

I havent been able to cry for a long time. It really baffles me.

Why do people care about other people crying. You don't see people doing the same for laughing. If your happy enough you laugh no one gives a shit but if your sad enough you start crying everyone has to see or ask. Its just a reaction and its purely involuntary.

I'm going to say the same thing as almost everyone else.

Crying is a perfectly normal thing so long as you aren't incredibly mopey and crying over EVERYTHING.

Being a male, the stereotype is to stfu it's unbecoming, and due to intense issues throughout my school life it's become a common practice to unstead of becoming sad, give them a death glare (or that's what people call my "I might kill you tonight" face, and when I say people I mean one person but I Like the name).

Though what I do isn't healthy, because I don't actually kill the people the emotion just gets bottled up. My point is whatever is the best way for you to release your emotions is, do it. If that's crying, do it, if it's violence, direct it to a punching bag, and if it's bloodlust, find a new outlet.

I can go through massive loss in real life and be completely fine, but a well made movie gets me going no problem. A few weeks ago, break up with a girl I really liked, really bad circumstances, no worries. Watch Monsters Inc can't help but shed a few. Think the last time I shed a tear or 2 was Shawn Micheals retirement, I don't give a fuck, that was emotional. Been finding myself much more in touch with various emotions recently actually. It's usually just agression.

I believe that you can cry when you feel like it. However, crying for ridiculous reasons really doesn't sit well with me. But normally, I tend not to cry more often than not, for my sadness is invoked into rage, anger, and spite..

I will explain more to those who are desperate to force what they believe into others if necessary, but the general stereotype is this: women talk it out, men think it out. However, as with all rules of gender brainwork, it tends to vary from person to person. You aren't being a pussy if you cry, and you aren't being a hard ass if you bottle it up. It's not always one or the other.

Now back to the actual topic. Yes, crying is a sign of weakness, that's the point, and there's nothing wrong with that. If you were perfectly fine you wouldn't be crying, would you?

There's an old saying:

Laugh, and the whole world laughs with you. Cry, and you cry alone.

People are happy to have their mood brought UP, but Heaven help you if you make their day worse by actually being UPSET *eyeroll*

For men I see crying as a sign of weakness. That might have something to do with the fact that I never cry. The last time I creid was when my cousin died of cancer (he was pretty messed up, his deterioration was pretty horrific). He was 12, I was 11. We were very close. Since then (5 years) I haven't cried over anything. Not to physical pain or emotional pain.

I don't see guys cry very often but most of the time I think they need to harden the fuck up. I don't tell them because in a lot of cases that makes it worse, I just think it.
