Well it wasn't really sexist, but not really nice. It could sound a bit chivalrous, but I don't think that you said it in that way:)

I'm going to be perfectly honest, mate. YES. It is sexist. The gender of the person should not matter when they are offering to bring you somewhere.

As far as it goes for me, I don't like anyone paying my way, so I refuse period.
I say if its not a date, that is probably sexist unless your one of "those guys", but compared to this guy ^ I let anyone pay for me whenever they want :D

Yes, it was. Because you said you didn't want girls to pay your way. If it were any person regardless of gender you didn't want charity from, fine. But limiting it to women is incredibly sexist. Also, chivalrous intentions don't make it any less so. Basic stuff like wanting to open doors for girls- fine, as long as you'd do it for guys too. Women don't require special treatment.

Sorry, but that was sexist and nothing can excuse it as such.

I hate when girls do that, I just question them on why they are going and if they give hort simple answers I ask them to expand on that answer and then they either forget or if they keep going on I tell them that I will go and don't. Although maybe you shouldn't of said bunch of girls maybe you should of just said i'm not letting anyone pay for me.

I guess it was the fact that you pointed out that because they were female was why you didn't want to.
You could have said "because I don't want other people to pay admission for me." But pointed out they're gender so they got offended.

Some girls are a bit sensitive about it, personally I love a good get back in the kitchen joke.

If I were you I'd look into investing some money in netflix...Cause it'll be a while before you go out with girls again...
Just kidding, but seriously watch it man...
My ex threw her pet dog at me when I said something similarly stupid.

Sort of. What you said was sexist but you weren't intentionally trying to be sexist.

Listen well, young one, for I am about to share with you one of the universe' most guarded secrets:

Girls, are completely mental, and filled to the brim with hormones, which are more volatile than nitroglycerin.

I've had a girl get all offended because I asked how her day was and what she had done, assuming I was being nosy and wanted to interrogate her, instead of genuinely interested.

It's not sexist, what you said. It was polite. And don't apologise to them for it. They need to realise they overreacted.

Stand your ground man.

I just got in a heated argument with some female friends of mine about not having money to go to s local haunted house. So they offered to pay my admission fee. Without thinking I replied "I'm not letting a bunch of girls pay my admit ion." That was a mistake. Now I have three angry girls riding my ass about how sexist I am.

I tried to inform them that I was only trying to be polite, chivalrous even, but they wouldn't take it. So now I've turned to internet for my answer.

Edit: I do have to admit that I probably said it at a bad time. It was mid argument after I had refused a few times. They asked why and so I said in a flash of anger and trying to get back to my video games as fast as possible ( this conversation was over AIM) I just typed in that in the 15 seconds of spawn time.
You Sir are a Gentleman. Do not listen to the plebs and riff raff that tell you otherwise. Even if it was sexist who cares? It was polite, reasonably well intended and a good act for others to imiate.

I don't think it was, but since we're dealing with multiple females here you should probably just swallow your pride, admit to being wrong in every way, and accept the payment. I wish I could get multiple chicks shelling out cash for my presence XD

I would say, maybe only a little. I mean, you said they approached you several times and you politely declined. Its understandable that you might get a little irritated and spout out a reason in frustration, without actually meaning it that way.
