Some Jap manga are also guilty in this, Veritas is also read in the opposite order.

And it helps no one when western imprints like Dark horse print manga series, like Blade Of The Immortal, and it's left to right again. Confusion for all.
Double-check: what you've been reading could be Manhwa, the Korean variant! Manhwa follows the left-to-right format.

Also, from what I've read of DH's titles, they don't flip the manga: they certainly didn't for Gantz.
I've seen the Gantz series and i've read all the chapters that are currently released, if you check it out you'll see how badly they fucked up at some points. Also the manga is still on going, and all we got in anime is a blunt ending that left a "wait, what?" feeling.

What's the difference?
Anime is the animated series, Manga is the original comic.
You read backwards in Manga don't you?

I'll go with Anime then.
You have no idea how confusing it is after a mammoth manga reading session to then suddenly try and read a webcomic or something that goes left to right.

I was only stating that they hadn't flipped the page layout, which is incredibly infuriating. I only purchased the first volume, so I have no idea as to how badly they've translated certain bits. It seemed pretty decent last I'd checked...

As for the anime: no arguments there.

I've always found that the manga was better then the anime, because most of the anime of what I watch either has bad filler or cuts out important plot points (like negima is really short int he anime but the manga is pretty good).

Manga usually goes past when the anime ends or tells more...but Anime has voices, often voices I know and love. I tend to prefer anime, mostly because we watch it online (my brother and I)
I do want to read the Spiral manga though, but only cause they stopped making the anime halfway through and it gets like, 20x more interesting after the point the anime stopped at.

I watch anime. There's nothing wrong with manga, but I can't handle reading right to left, it gives me a headache.

I much prefer the anime, Favorites are Tenjou Tenge, Rurouni Kenshin, Darker than Black and Bleach.

I just don't seem to be able to get into manga like i can with the anime.

Generally I prefer the anime as it shows everything in motion. However, because anime is so addictive I turn to the manga to quench my thirst, but both are good.

It's a rumour but the anime is supposedly picking up sometime soon, but this could just be an internet rumour. Although I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I like manga better, especially if it's in black and white, since the voice actors and colouring in anime is usually annoying. Plus the manga is usually the original.

I enjoy anime, but it can screw up the story that the original creator had made. It also frequently messes up the art and puts voices in that don't match the charecter at all so I much perfer manga to anime in those respects.

I've watched more anime than I've read manga so I can't really judge. I like both in general though I hate it when the music and/or voice acting in anime is bad/out of place etc. And I sometimes find reading Manga can get a little dull - but only after a while.

Evangelion is a curious case: it has an incredible amount of adaptations. I do prefer the anime though.

If a series is completed as both a Manga and an Anime, I'll watch the anime and just skip over the filler episodes. However if it is not completed I'll read the Manga as [del]most[/del] all Animes are based off of Manga and not the other way around.
Corrected that one :p
FLCL was anime first, with a 2 volume manga released after the anime.
