I'll go with either, but to be honest, most of the stuff I consume is manga. They're more portable, easier to locate, and easier to test out (reading a few chapters instead of watching a few episodes), typically have better pacing and artwork, and don't suffer the cost or production disadvantages of a video production. On the other hand, whenever I read manga adapted from anime, they always feel too fast-paced...
Most often, if I find something that exists in both media, I'll prefer the manga. The few exceptions so far are Slayers, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Steel Angel Kurumi, not to mention a few anime that were later adapted into manga format (Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, mainly).

I take it you've never heard of Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Yugioh GX, Evangelion, Space Battleship Yamato, Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, Digimon, Rahxephon, Tenchi Muyo, Mai-Hime, or Gundam?Hoxton said:Corrected that oneBudZer said:If a series is completed as both a Manga and an Anime, I'll watch the anime and just skip over the filler episodes.
