The general responce seems to be "Maybe, depends what's involved."

Well to add some discussion, what do you all think would need to be involved to make this DLC worth the purchase? I've visualized a scene where Shepard and his/her romance go to Illium or the Citadel and look around at some of the entertainment areas. But the player gets to choose what to do and choosing something Shepard's date doesn't like can virtually ruin the relationship. And maybe a confrontation erupts with thugs in public, to add some action.

Fucking fantastic, mate. Yet, I know (or rather I feel it in the pit of my begrudgingly cynical heart) that it wouldn't have voice acting. I wish it did, but it won't.

-Still, I'd totally pay for a Romance DLC that entails what you said. Thugs come up to you and your gal in public and they get all slimy and perverted and say:

For Miranda: "That's quite an ass you've got there! Ay, I'd like to drive my craft into that dockin' bay!"

For Jack: "WHOO-YEAH! You tryin' to get us riled up, little girl? Showing off those fine tits, lettin' them breath this sweet Illium air... Shit, I'd love to land my shuttle on those planets!"

For Tali: "Oh, hell yeah! Look at those sexy...er...chicken legs? I'd...um...wanna... Oh fuck it! Get yer hot exo-suited ass over here!"

...And no, I don't know why the perverts have Southern accents. Maybe I shouldn't have watched "I'll Spit on Your Grave"...

I'd only take it if it's availible on retail, and possibly if a Krogan, Salarian, or any non-human species romance is involved.

I'm not getting any DLC unless it can be obtained through retail stores, mainly because I can't get Xbox live.

I think I'd rather just see improvement in me3,like adding some of the extra characters from the universe. Personally I think having Shiala as a recruitable teammate/love interest would be awesome, it would add a lot of emotional depth to the romance, as you've killed her multiple times, rescued her, and then (possibly) helped her throughout the first two

(please can you show me some mercy by not angrily responding to this statement with 'WTF ASHLEY IS RACIST HOW CAN U FIND HER LIKABLE?!'... and just accept that I like Ashley as a character... like just this once? Please?)
I didn't think Ashley was a racist: I just thought she was a b****.

Kaiden at least had a reason to be whiny: so I wound up saving him all the time during that one mission and leaving Ashley to go KABOOM!
Respectfully I disagree, it's worth remembering Ashley's family has some bad history what with her grandfather being the first human general to surrender to an alien army and thus her family name is black listed.
She just sort of feels a responsibility to her family name and as a result pushes herself really hard in the hopes of redeeming her family's past mistakes. That's also the reason why she has a grudge against the Citadel Council, that and she's seen the way humans get pushed aside there.
That said, as the game progresses and especially after Virmire (right after she happily works with the Salarians thus disproving a few accusations of racism) she sort of starts to 'come around' become a little more agreeable about working with aliens.
So while I can certainly understand why she may have seemed bitchy, but to me at least she was an interesting well developed character... hence to me there was no need to go after anyone else in Mass Effect 2, the series already had a good leading lady in my eyes.

Besides, for me nothing's better than a hot chick with a laser assult rifle.....
Lol, sounds like my 18 year old son, he loves kick ass girls, has no time for those girls who stand round waiting to be rescued ;-)

I'd buy it if it allowed the option for Fem-Shep to romance Legion. Otherwise, no.
This.. win.
I'd love a romance with Legion. By far the coolest character BioWare has ever made.

ps sorry for double post.
If romancing Legion ends in the same way all other romances do... does that mean that Shepard had sex with an entire race? :O
Well, seeing as how all geth are connected.. I guess, in a weird way, yes. By 'sleeping' with Legion, you are screwing the entire geth race.
Hmm.. interesting.
And practically problematic. Do robots have genitalia ?
No, they just form large consensuses on thier hard drives.
Or install a 'groinal attachment', ;-)

One of my favourite things about Bioware games is the strong sense of emotional attachment they invoke through the friendships and romances. I may or may not have angrily slammed my laptop shut, stomped up the stairs, took a Ben&Jerry's from the fridge and plonked down in front of the tv to watch Ghost after Alistair in Dragon Age broke up with me.

Any dlc which expands upon the bonds you make in Mass Effect would be welcome to me. Wuv my precious little lizard man Garrus <3 He deserves to be wined and dined though I think if he got to pick the location it's a 50:50 chance of being a shooting range.
Awww! Just stick to human noble female, he will never leave you again............. *sigh* s'what I do!

Yes, I must be able to take Thane to the citadel for a beer and maybe some ramen since it seems to be a delicacy here on Earth.

I thought about this as well, in order to make a decent romance DLC they would need to bring the original voice actors back to record new dialogue and I'm not certain they would bother doing that. Frankly I don't see anyway they could make one without dialogue, it's a romance subplot afterall, you build on that with the vocal interactions between you and your date, it can't be avoided.

If they do develop a romance DLC even I wouldn't buy it if the original voice actors didn't play a part and I bought the alternate appearance package for goodness sake.

Fuck no.

Walk here. 'Press A to pour drink.'

'Press A to give drink to Miranda'

'Press A to engage in awkwardly animated sex scene'
Heavy Rain The Sex Scene.
There is one in Heavy Rain, well I got one, lol I had to undress her, they didn't make me full out simulate the sex with the controller though so that was a relief
Haha, I know, I got it as well. I found it interesting that they made them make out at end of the bed on the floor, just so they could hide the nudity better.

Haha if I did that then everyone would pick "depends on price/how long" because that's how it always is with DLC. I'm simply asking if a romance package is something you would pay for, how much is up to you all to decide.

Very true!
It doesnt sound like a bad idea as long as there is some good fighting and plot to go with it

Wow, I'm honestly surprised to hear you've heard that a lot. Personally I could understand Ashley's apprehensiveness towards aliens due to her past, and how her family was treated because of past actions. And for that matter, depending on the choices made when speaking to her, her attitude towards aliens can really turn around, she develops as a character. I see nothing wrong with being interested in that.

Also, as an aside, I heard that in ME3 if you completed a romance sub-plot in both the first and second games, your relationship with your second partner is in a sense, considered cheating on your first, and could have repercussions in the third game. For this reason, my lady-shep turned down Liara, she is saving herself for Garrus <3
