This is the conclusion of a pretty epic story, it doesn't need the dev team being distracted by an addition that most ME fans shouldn't care about which will make the single player suffer. For example BioShock 2. Anyone who says the campaign in that game didn't suffer because of multiplayer is lying or never played the first one. I want ME3 to be the greatest story conclusion I've ever experienced, so no, noooo multiplayer. Not even Co-op.

Not only Nay but if i ever see someone who advocates it, i will blow his head off, use his thyroid as a condom and fuck his pets and then force his family to watch the videos. So many people have this frankly backwards notion that multiplayer is more important than the main campaign, and it's beginning to do serious harm to the quality of games as a whole.
I like this guy. I agree completely, it's extremely frustrating having all friends that buy a new game and never play the single player. It makes Developers not care about the single player(at least it's seeming that way) and focus only on multiplayer. It sucks for people like me who should be the majority but is obviously not.

I play the game for the story and involvement, not the gameplay.

The gameplay in ME would NEVER hold up for a multiplayer mode, and co-op just wouldn't work.

Hell Nay.

I'm not a nay or a yay. If they don't it's not like it needed it, if they do it's not like we have to play it. If it's there I'll give it a try, maybe they'll make it good.
It's not that simple. Time and money expended on a multiplayer mode are time and money not expended on single player, and there's a finite amount of both. I don't see the point of attaching a multiplayer option that's going to be inferior to dedicated multi games already in existence, and just be ignored.

It's still just a rumour and since pretty much everything is getting multiplayer it's just one of a hundred rumours that sounded more plausible and was picked up. Co-op would be cool.
If you're going to respond read my whole post in the future.
I did read the whole post, I just cut part of it because it wasn't relevant.

It's wholly relevant, I view the news as spurious and just something that was said because the times make it sound likely.

No, it isn't relevant. I was discussing whether or not it would be a good thing. It probably is a rumour, but that does not affect this hypothetical scenario.

NAY NAY NAY, Bioware should spend all their time making the singleplayer perfect, not waste time on multiplayer. If I want multiplayer I'll play CoD

i said indifferent as long as the singly player experience doesn't suffer as a result of adding in a multi-player component.

because that would be a damn shame.

Why? I have yet to encounter any part of the other two games that would be improved by a round of team death match or co-op with someone who breathes way too hard.

Nay. I have no interest in sharing my experience with anyone else as far as this series goes.

Oh hell nay! Bioware and Bethesda should keep Mass Effect and Skyrim strictly single player only. What would a multiplayer mode add to the experience of either game? Look at Bioshock 2, great game pointless multiplayer that nobody played. Will be interesting to see if Dead Space 2 multiplayer is a hit but I suspect probably not. Seems like since MW everyone just tacks on multiplayer regardless of whether its a fit for the game or not.

Rant over!

I'd say no, but I wouldn't mind seeing an mmo or something like that that takes place in the Mass Effect universe.
