Okay, So I hate Halo I really do. Here's what I don't get though. Whenever some yells Halo sucks cause it's mediocre and all been done before I rarely, if at all, see someone bring forth a shooter that is "great" and does everything different and exciting. So I propose a challenge, name one game in the FPS genre that is "great" and does everything different. Can't do it huh?
Oh, I voted Final Fantasy just because 13 is a ridiculous number. I mean really? 13 sequels and people are still going from 6 to midnight over the damn thing. Even Halo fan boys would start to be hesitant at 7.

Metal Gear Solid is like Lost - convoluted and I wanted most of the characters to be eaten by carnivorous pterodactyls. As far as gameplay, Sam Fisher is 10x the man Kurt Russ...., er, Solid Kurt is.
Uh....they are not sequels. SOME of the games have tie in's and sequels but they are all disambiguated. Oh and if you think 13 is a ridiculous number, then i guess you didn't realize that there are 30 some odd games that bare the Final Fantasy name (remakes and ports excluded).RantCasey said:

I wont say omgzzz FF <3<3 but theres something about the characters that you people like in the games. Others just dont fancy it and thats the way some people are.
either Halo, GTA or MGS. halo is just your average sci-fi FPS, GTA4 is becoming as bad as the first 1s (san andreas is the only good 1) and MGS is full of annoying boring cutscenes and bosses taking a year to defeat. not because of difficulty, because they have a shitload of health or are impossibly good camoflaged.
with my other - specify 1 i will say Diablo 1-2. the demo for the third looks more like playing WoW without cartoonish graphics (not cartoonish in a bad way, its a good feature).

First up thats a stupid reason to vote it overrated. Of course it DEFINATELY isnt overrated if another title is being added to the long series. It isnt overrated since theyre obviously making it to profit from it, and it isnt as if you have to buy it if you dont like the genre. I dont see FF series being omgzzored much around t'internet like I see Halo being done.RantCasey said:

I would have to say Tony Hawk series, not that there all bad just after American wasteland. My fav is still UnderGround.
