Yes, they are well worth it, and worth a new system.
This and only this if your really into the exclusives, i did it for the same reasons and haven't regretted it.

Infamous, MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles and Uncharted alone are worth it.

I'm surprised the PS3 seems to be so popular, if you go by ratio of price and how many good games there are for each and the PS3 is represented by 1 the 360 would get at least 12, I've never played Little Big Planet so I can't speak for that, but other than Resistance and Infamous I know of no good PS3 games.

It's too bad blockbuster doesn't let you rent consoles anymore like they used to... it would be quite worth it then.
One good game for the PS3...
Why is it that all 360 fanboys spew subjective crap like this? Look at metacritic - the PS3 has more higher rated exclusives than the 360 WHICH HAS 2 QUALITY EXCLUSIVES - Fable 2 and Gears of War 2. Halo 2 is going to be on PC with Windows 7.
If all you are going to do is flame, don't bother posting - there's no room here for fanboys.
Funny you mention fanboys, since evidently YOU ARE ONE. Honestly I don't really consider the PC to be a console, but I do play games on it, don't argue about it, I'm saying that offhand. BTW why did you say "One good game for the PS3..."? I said both Resistance and Infamous were good games, just not worth the price of the PS3.

I don't know what metacritic is and I don't particularly care. I have both the PS3 and 360 and have found TWO good ps3 games and at least 20 good 360 games, whether or not they are exlusive isn't really the point... but on that point, there are more than 2 good 360 only games, you might know this if you played the 360 more. Anyways I don't really feel like arguing right now so I'll just accept that you have a superpower to enter a different dimension in which there are more than 3-5 decent PS3 games.

Also, I wouldn't really say I was flaming the PS3, I was stating my honest opinion and experience and I firmly disagree with the statement "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything" because 95+% of the world's population would likely be close to being mute.
I'm going to clear this up:
An exclusive means that you can only play that game on that platform: PC, 360, PS3, or Wii, hence why they all have exclusives. You cannot say a game on PC is a 360 exclusive, because you can play the game on either a PC or 360! Simple as that.
Bless, you don't care what metacritic is, therefore you can ignore it. Using ignorance as an excuse, isn't that cute?
www.metacritic.com
In the 360's top 50 titles, only 9 are exclusives (Majority XBL games), the rest are on other platforms.
In the PS3's top 50 titles, has 14, with only 3 being DLC, so arguably 'real' games in terms of length/content.
Considering the title of the thread is "PS3 exclusive titles worth it?", yeah, I'd say that if a game is exclusive of not is somewhat important and relevant to the thread.
And you can't argue it, because there are no more than 2 quality Xbox 360 exclusives, (Not including XBL, full games only).
Objectively, your argument that the PS3 has only 2 good exclusives is crap. And that makes me a fanboy for pointing that out how?
Well all in all I'd call you a fanboy because clearly you are very defensive about the PS3.

As I said before, I don't really count the computer as a console and that increases the 360's exclusive game count by about a hundred or two.

You need to work on your flaming too, I'm not even offended!

Anyways, I disagree with most critics, making metacritic kind of invalid to me, no?

Also, please don't judge things based on how popular they are by some top 50 list >_<, this is supposed to be your own opinion, not the opinion of people on some critic site.

I doubt I'm going to get you to change your opinion (which seems to be PS3 > 360) and I'm also fairly sure you won't be able to change my opinion so it's kinda meaningless.

The 360 has more than 2 quality exclusive games, just because you've never played them doesn't mean they don't exist. Ignorance, isn't that cute?

My final thought: No, the exclusive PS3 titles aren't worth it, but if you can afford it and have nothing else to get I say go for it.
I'm not a fanboy - I just know my facts.
Fact is, the PS3 is much better than the 360. The result of this is that the titles are technically much better on the PS3 than 360.
And the PC is a gaming platform. The PC has "PC only" exclusives. Therefore you can't say that games on both are a 360 exclusive. That's just wired. Exclusive means you have to own that platform to play it. Therefore PC and 360 platform games are not exclusives. You wouldn't say that a PC and PS3 platform game (FFIV) is an exclusive, so the same goes for 360 & PC platform games.
You have to show why you disagree with most critics, otherwise it's an illogical remark.
Well considering I've played generally more 360 and PS3 exclusives than the average 360 player, I'd say my opinion is more valid than the average fanboy, but people still act as if I've never touched a 360 in my life.
And get used to the fact that the PS3 is better, technically, than the 360 in every way.
Could you please mention what these quality exclusives as I genuinely believe that Fable II and Gears of War 2 are the only decent exclusives, but I might be missing a few games out.
Saying the PS3 is better than the 360 implies you are a fanboy, as it is an opinion. As I've said before the 360 has more than 2 exclusive games, clearly you've just never played them. Get used to the fact that not everyone will conform to your view and just because you believe something doesn't necessarily make it true.

Resistance Fall of Man was solid, but I always saw it as a stop-gap game for the initial launch period, only the bar was never really raised above that. R2 was a mess and KZ2 was fairly good looking (no where near Crysis good for sure) but ultimately a short and shallow game with little replay, I only rented it and was bored with it in a weekend.

Motorstorm 1 showed promise as a launch title but like Resistance 2, the sequel just ended up a mess and ultimately less refined. Uncharted is a solid game I will admit, you can't go much wrong with it but for me it just felt like Tomb Raider Lite while the entire cast has to be the most annoying and obnoxious I have ever heard in a game. I bought it pre-owned and within a few days traded it in for Tomb Raider on 360 that was far better in terms of the whole adventure platforming gameplay.

MGS4 was a dud to me, much like MGS2, far too much boring exposition filled cutscene and not enough engaging gameplay. The MGS franchise seem to be like the Star Trek films in that every second entry in the franchise is bad while every other is quite good, the even numbered MGS games seem to be cursed with being overly ponderous and flawed gameplay. I mean the octocam is like playing the game with cheats, you can lie down literally anywhere and unless the bad guy steps on you you're invisible. And as Yahtzee points out, the "one hit knock down tranq-gun" breaks the entire stealth mechanic. And the ending was terrible. I don't care what anyone says.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma was actually really good but I'd already played it on Xbox Original so it was a bit of a rehash and gave up when I realised it was pretty much identical with graphics upgrade only.

Littlebigplanet is of no interest to me since if anything if should be a low price DLC game not full price retail and there are so many better 2.5D platforming games out at the moment like Trine... though who knows if it will ever released on PS3. Fat Princess (apparently the reason Trine was "delayed") is interesting but I'm not quite willing to pay £12 ($20) for it even though it is the first decent game I've seen on PSN, there are already so many other things I've had my eye on for a while now on Steam and XBLA.

I'll reserve comment on upcoming games till they come out but Heavy Rain seems terrible, all cutscene based and quick-time events combat = not a game. Alan Wake seems to do a far better job at that "psychological/mystery" type genre while remaining a proper game. God of War 3 looks interesting but again with those damn quick-time button based take-downs. Why are the developers of Sony 1st party games so afraid of just letting you play the game but have the in game character automatically finish off the bosses, the context buttons just give the thin illusion of interactivity.

My PS3 has been unused for so long now I am considering putting it back in it's box till Agent comes out (Rockstar has yet to put a foot wrong though I doubt it will remain exclusive), I certainly don't play multiplatform games on it for how 95% of the time the 360 version is both higher quality in graphics and performance but I can also usually find cheaper copies of it online or in stores. And any FPS game I always get on PC if the option is there.

PS3 has been a major disappointment for me, I can't connect it to my PC monitor (my only screen capable of "HD resolution" X360 can connect + output HD to it), PSN has been devoid of anything worth downloading (in Europe mind you), its games catalogue has been so poor and blu-ray has turned out to be a red herring.

The PS3 IS TECHNICALLY SUPERIOR TO THE XBOX 360.
That may be technically true but why is it not true in practice?

Every developer who has commented on programming for the PS3 has said it is much harder to program for than ANY other console (not just xbox 360) and Sony has actually gone on record that the PS3 is INTENTIONALLY hard to develop for so that it's potential is not unlocked until maybe even 10 years down the line, by that time the next generation of consoles will likely have been released which makes it utterly pointless.

That also punishes early adopters as they pay the highest price for the console at launch yet the first few years of games are generally sub-par, good game are pretty much guaranteed not to come out till later, after a price cut. Sony effectively punishes their biggest fans.

I used to be their biggest fan but Sony's attitude has made it clear how they feel about me and when Playstation 4 comes out (if the gaming division of Sony even survives that long) nothing will convince me to buy it at launch. And Sony should expect that from how it screws around its customers.

There's less than a handful of exclusive titles that interest me, so a PS3 isn't worth the money

I was a 360 boy for a while, but ps3 exclusives are fantastic. I bought my ps3 for infamous, then I ended up getting resistance, uncharted, MGS4, folklore, motorstorm, LBP, Ratchet and Clank. So far, I'm convinced Ps3 exclusives trump all, and remember I own a 360, this is not biased.

I own both systems and I prefer my 360 over the PS3. It might just be that I'm partial to that controller, because I think it feels amazing, but I never buy multi-system games for anything other than the 360.

Little Big Planet was fun, and I still play it... only when friends come over.
Metal Gear Solid 4 was a good movie that I sold after watching it.
Killzone 2 is fun, probably my favorite PS3 title.
inFamous was just okay for me.

But I am looking forward to God of War III and The Last Guardian, which is why I hold on to my PS3, and for the backwards compatibility.
Great minds think alike. This is exactly what I do with my PS3.

I would add that Resistance 2 is worth a rent.
Killzone is also a rent for me. It is a good FPS, but it is nothing new and very samey. But it is worth playing for the visuals alone.
Flower is mindless and relaxing.

I am also looking forward to God Of War 3. So if that one is a must own for you (like it is for me) then I would definately hold out for a price drop, but other that GoW3, the others are kinda Meh... Not saying that most Xbox exclusive are not Meh, just that none of the PS3 exclusives are worth a console purchase (yet).

(which by the way, Micro$oft beat them to the punch the price drop, Elite is $300 now).

Now it is.
It took a while but based just on the exclusives out now and the new price, it's worth it. You got Warhawk, Infamous, Little Big Planet, and Valkyria Chronicles already and things like Agent, God of War3 and Last Guardian on the way. No matter what kind of games you like you're more than likely to find a few you'll really dig. Look at it this way, you wont have to pay anything additional after buying the hardware, except for another controller or three so someone can join you on the couch for a game of Warhawk or Little Big Planet...oh, and an hdmi cable but those are really cheap now.

Folklore? My god man, what other games have you played to consider that game one of the good ones?

I'd say go on Craigslist and buy a backwards compatible one. That way it'll be worth it because you get to play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games.

Oh man, wait for God of War III. Then buy MGS 4 with God of War III. Also, inFAMOUS. And the Uncharted games. Those are enough reasons you need.

It's just opinion, I thought it was good. Not perfect, but a solid rpg.

Yeah, those too. And then, the PS3 best of the best is complete. (well, I can hope for the unreleased games to be good)
