I won't ever admit they are worth it until after I've purchased a ps3, and even then it's a maybe (I own am '360 and I'm not convinced it's worth it). PC may always dominate in my mind, however I've had the cashflow to purchase and support a ps3 for sometime, should I buy it I would at least feel it's worth it for a time.

Killzone 2 is worth it alone if your into that kind of shooters.
Littlebig, Resistance Fom had it's moments, Metal gear is imo the best TPS ever and something... some...thing... something * Insert resume here* Good

For me, yes, a thousand times yes. Gods, the The Last Guardian trailer made my eyes water. No trailer ever managed that. Can't wait to order it tommorow. The PS3 that is, still gotta wait a while for The Last Guardian.

Heavy Rain. 'Nuff said.
That's about the only title that I would say, "tips the scale." It looks to be very unique and could create a new interest in adventure/action/whatever game genre you classify it as.

Here's my peice for what its worth: The PS3 is worth getting for the exclusives far more than the 360 because it has a wider range of titles in diffrent genres

If you own a 360 you already have similar FPS's to the Killzone and Resistance games they are generic FPS's similar to the Halo games, not innovative and honestly I have no idea why everyone bandwagons them.

MGS4 is insane and no its not overatted if you like the other MGS's then this is mind blowing, if you didn't then obviously your not going to like this. Definatley the legitimate game of the year across all platforms last year.

LittleBigPlanet is very diffrent if you like platformers from the oldschool you will enjoy this extremley fun to play.

Uncharted is like no other game honestly its almost like playing through a movie the charecters while not the most original and a little grating to begin with are very likeable and charming this game was extremly underated in my opinion and if they fix a few issues in the second game there is no reason it won't be game of the year.

Infamous absolutely dicks Prototype in my view the story is far tighter and has a legit comic book feel its another really original game, its what every game based on a comic book charecter could have been the gameplay is fun (even though you seem to be shot at a little too frequently for my liking) and the missions are varied. While prototype is a very bland samey sandbox which misses the point in my view.

As for what is coming out I would say GT5 is exactly what it says on the tin as close to a real driving sim as you can get, Heavy rain will be again something diffrent like indigo prophecy (and hopefully they won't screw the last few hours of the game like they did last time)and of course God Of War III if you've never played a GOW game then go get a ps2 seriously the most perfectly fitted together games of all time

I've seen a few of the exclusives and havent thought too much of them...

To me the blu ray player is the only thing going for a PS3, and I cant even see the benefit of blu ray over dvd... maybe on huge screens, but not on a standard tv...

I'm surprised the PS3 seems to be so popular, if you go by ratio of price and how many good games there are for each and the PS3 is represented by 1 the 360 would get at least 12, I've never played Little Big Planet so I can't speak for that, but other than Resistance and Infamous I know of no good PS3 games.

It's too bad blockbuster doesn't let you rent consoles anymore like they used to... it would be quite worth it then.
One good game for the PS3...
Why is it that all 360 fanboys spew subjective crap like this? Look at metacritic - the PS3 has more higher rated exclusives than the 360 WHICH HAS 2 QUALITY EXCLUSIVES - Fable 2 and Gears of War 2. Halo 2 is going to be on PC with Windows 7.
If all you are going to do is flame, don't bother posting - there's no room here for fanboys.
Funny you mention fanboys, since evidently YOU ARE ONE. Honestly I don't really consider the PC to be a console, but I do play games on it, don't argue about it, I'm saying that offhand. BTW why did you say "One good game for the PS3..."? I said both Resistance and Infamous were good games, just not worth the price of the PS3.

I don't know what metacritic is and I don't particularly care. I have both the PS3 and 360 and have found TWO good ps3 games and at least 20 good 360 games, whether or not they are exlusive isn't really the point... but on that point, there are more than 2 good 360 only games, you might know this if you played the 360 more. Anyways I don't really feel like arguing right now so I'll just accept that you have a superpower to enter a different dimension in which there are more than 3-5 decent PS3 games.

Also, I wouldn't really say I was flaming the PS3, I was stating my honest opinion and experience and I firmly disagree with the statement "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything" because 95+% of the world's population would likely be close to being mute.
I'm going to clear this up:
An exclusive means that you can only play that game on that platform: PC, 360, PS3, or Wii, hence why they all have exclusives. You cannot say a game on PC is a 360 exclusive, because you can play the game on either a PC or 360! Simple as that.
Bless, you don't care what metacritic is, therefore you can ignore it. Using ignorance as an excuse, isn't that cute?
www.metacritic.com
In the 360's top 50 titles, only 9 are exclusives (Majority XBL games), the rest are on other platforms.
In the PS3's top 50 titles, has 14, with only 3 being DLC, so arguably 'real' games in terms of length/content.
Considering the title of the thread is "PS3 exclusive titles worth it?", yeah, I'd say that if a game is exclusive of not is somewhat important and relevant to the thread.
And you can't argue it, because there are no more than 2 quality Xbox 360 exclusives, (Not including XBL, full games only).
Objectively, your argument that the PS3 has only 2 good exclusives is crap. And that makes me a fanboy for pointing that out how?
Well all in all I'd call you a fanboy because clearly you are very defensive about the PS3.

As I said before, I don't really count the computer as a console and that increases the 360's exclusive game count by about a hundred or two.

You need to work on your flaming too, I'm not even offended!

Anyways, I disagree with most critics, making metacritic kind of invalid to me, no?

Also, please don't judge things based on how popular they are by some top 50 list >_<, this is supposed to be your own opinion, not the opinion of people on some critic site.

I doubt I'm going to get you to change your opinion (which seems to be PS3 > 360) and I'm also fairly sure you won't be able to change my opinion so it's kinda meaningless.

The 360 has more than 2 quality exclusive games, just because you've never played them doesn't mean they don't exist. Ignorance, isn't that cute?

My final thought: No, the exclusive PS3 titles aren't worth it, but if you can afford it and have nothing else to get I say go for it.

Stick with the 360 then get the PS3 when the PS4 comes out. Its pretty much what I plan to do, except I use a PC not a 360. That way, you'll get much more than your money's worth.
This console generation is supposed to last until 2012.

I don't think I could wait that long.

Yes they are definitely worth it, which is why I got one. So far Resistance 2 is pertty average, not so great, so avoid Resistance 2 and get Killzone 2 instead. The coolest game I've seen that I really wanna get is InFamous so definitely get that. Also heavy Rain really seems like a future successful hit.

No

We have Halo
Probably the weakest argument I've heard. Halo doesn't appeal to everyone....that'd be the like Wii saying we have Mario. There are other games out there.

Not rally, if you already have an Xbox. SStick with one format.
I actually recommend spreading out. It lets you experience many more games especially exclusives. Plus if a game is sold out on one platform you can always get it for the other.

The console is worth it .But both infamous and KZ2 are quite short (admittedly KZ2 has multiplayer to add longevity ,but i don`t play it particularly often)

however they are good both titles have good plot (even if rico is one of the worst characterized ,errrr characters i`ve ever seen)gameplay in both is pretty good (though whoever thought adding suicide bombers to infamous deserves a punch in the face IMHO)and the graphics are incredible (this is especially true is killzone`s case)however i`ve wrapped those games up a while bacl now and have nothing to play.

Heavenly sword would have been alright were it not so SIXAXIS focused,

resistance(the original, not got round to no2 yet ) was good if again a bit short,i`m dissapointed they didn`t show more of the backstory for the game as it`s a terrific premise.(i`ve randomly spaced it out so that more than 3 people will hopefully read it)

EDIT:i should say that as a fan of fahrenheit (indigo prophecy to you yanks)i`m very psyched for heavy rain`s release

Yes, they're very much worth it. Killzone 2 was overrated but the multiplayer is great, Infamous is graphically rough but gameplay is fun, Uncharted is the best of the lot, Nathan Drake is a very likeable protagonist and I can't wait for Uncharted 2. Then there's more such as Little Big Planet, Resistance: Fall of Man, Ratchet & Clank, Warhawk, Wipeout HD, Flower, Pixeljunk Eden, Pain...there's probably more but I can't remember.

Infamous and anything else Suckerpunch studios may make in the future could be great too. Plus God of War3 and well let's keep it simple and say between studios like Insomniac and Santa Monica plus all the obscure download able games having both consoles is the best way to go. You should trust me on this one I've got both too.
