And that is something both will have to take on trust, since there is nothing but said trust ensuring it. There's no one standing by to intervene if I don't. There's no magic spell activated by a safeword that suddenly stops me or makes her invulnerable.

By the way "you'd never hurt her"? Yeah, you may want to look up BDSM again. I am fairly certain by now that you don't quite know what the hell it means.
Um, why are you arguing so hard that any second you could rape someone if you wanted to?
Yeah, if someone asked you to stop using a safeword there is no magic to make you, but you no longer have their consent (or consensual non-consent, in some BDSM cases).
Sorry, this argument is kind of confusing.

I've almost finished reading it, I wanted to be included and I wanted to be able to say it was bad on good authority.

I was not disappointed. The woman cannot write, at all, even ignoring the plot and the terribly constructed characters. She loves the word 'beguiled' too. Oh, oh and the main character drinks Twining's English Breakfast tea, she always writes "Ana has some Twining's English Breakfast tea", never "Ana drinks some fucking tea".
Seriously, I'm basically at the end and she's still pointing out that her main character likes English classics and Twining's English Breakfast tea. Never mind how often she name drops classic literature she has obviously never read and... Okay, I'm going to stop now.
My girlfriend liked it... but that's because she likes literary smut >.>
Oh, I never said I didn't enjoy reading it. I finished in a day and if I'm being honest with myself, I'm probably going to read the other two.

So... you weren't put off by the tampon thing?
I nearly gagged when I heard about that. Do not want.

It's based off of twilight. It's not even the literary equivelent of smeared toilet paper, it's the single clinging bum hair ON the literary smeared toilet paper.

I gotta say though, this feminists argument is fundamentally flawed. She claims that all women have been brainwashed into thinking male domination is wonderful and is totally the place that they should be in, but There are... I don't even know, likely billions of wome who don't partake in any sort of BDSM fantasy Submissively or dominantly, because they think the whole thing is gross. AND they think it without being feminist. As hard as it is to believe, not all men or all women are into bdsm, therefore this is not, as she claims, a universal issue of men taking advantage of women.

In fact, it's actually sexist for her to say that all women should be or are one way or the other. Not only is she misreading feminism as "All men want women as sex slaves", she is also claiming that all women should be the way she is or the men will continue taking advantage of them forever. This lady is a righteous nitwit, and should just be ignored in favour of women who actually know what feminism is.

Dude pulling out her tampon.
Maybe I'm just a wuss but that's megagross to me, nobody else seemed to mind it.
`Tampon` and `sexy` just don't belong in the same universe to me.

I don't think it was supposed to be sexy, it just kind of happened. To be honest, I didn't even bat an eyelid reading it.
I mean, I'd never want it to happen to me but it really wasn't the strangest thing to happen in Fifty Shades of Fucked Up.

Once again it's another association issue with a feminist with no real clue. So and so said/did something bad/offensive to a woman, therfore I must be offended/violated/raped because feminists don't give other women credit.

In fact, feminists look down on non-feminist women as if they're trash, weak, or just stupid.

Frankly, and all the feminist on the Escapist can flame me for this, but I've known some women who just like to have fun - they aren't trying to proove a point, or demean themselves by giving someone a blowjob. Hell, I've gone down far more times than I've gotten BJ's, does that mean I'm a victim too!. People are all different, we all like different things, and if you find someone who shares your likes, then that is not a bad thing, that is the most natural thing in the world. What gives feminists like this the authority to bring other peoples affairs into question! - I'm betting shes a troglodite.

Believe - there are women out there who don't mind giving BJ's, aren't looking to loose or gain anything, women who don't take themselves too seriously and appreciate a bit of too and fro. Feminists give women a bad name, nobody wants to date a feminist - but then feminists don't want to date a controlling evil man who'll just rape them anyway... it's only a loss if your a big fan of irony.
There are also feminists who can give BJs without going against their principles. There are also feminists with penises.

You have a narrow and incomplete image of what constitutes feminism.

This blog is a radical extreme and one that is particularly bigoted. It is not representative of contemporary feminist ideology and philosophy. Feminism is about equality. At one point it was about raising women up in society (and to an extent it still is) during a time where there was massive disparity (lesser so now, but still present) but, unsurprisingly, some people took things to the extreme. It wasn't going to end for some with women being equal to men, they wanted a reversal in hierarchy. They wanted Women to be superior and men to be subservient dregs.

The blog is an example of that... this is bigotry, not feminism.

What was posted gives Feminists a bad name (heck, even radical feminists), evident by your response to it, not women. The lack of education on such matters means that notions like yours can rapidly spin negative opinions against a cause that has noble and respectable goals. This is what feminists have to face; not only ardent opposition, but also crazies taking the name and then desecrating its purpose.

Sex on your period feels FANTASTIC. Seriously. It helps a lot with pain, too.
The period bit isn't even that relavent, it's the tampon-pulling that's the main source of ick.

So... Crazy people are crazy?

I'm a bit torn on how we should react to crazies like that. Should we ignore them, and not give them any more publicity? Should we speak against them, especially us who are (sane) feminists?

I have never met anyone like this in real life. I know a person who hates men, though, because of some traumatic things that happened to her. But she didn't go crazy like that, she aknowledged her hatred was irrational and damaging to her, and has gone through therapy to get rid of it.

I guess you need to go through at least some shit to turn into something like that, but those kinds of groups aren't healthy, and can in fact prey on people who have had bad experiences.

I have seen that kind of a thing happen, not in a 'feminist' group like that, though.

It doesn't affect me. Anyone who legitimately believes that nonsense probably doesn't get to leave their "institution" without a chaperone. (That is to say, the stuff on the site linked by the OP, not feminism in general. Rather obvious, I guess, but you know someone's going to read it as that...)

Hey, 50 Shades of Grey looks like Ulysses next to this.
