I cant beleave people are actually defending Blizzard, I might never have played a Starcraft game and wont be buying it anyways. but doesn't this look like a huge rip-off?

so what there is an art book, I'm pretty sure you got something better to do then admire concept art, a usb aighnt that expansive in local stores

And knowing the previous games had a campaign for each faction, how can you accept they cut out all but 1?

its because off people like you guys that company's get away with this..

I played every Blizzard game starting from Warcraft 1 till now and I am absolutely disgusted . I may end up buying it but it disturbs me that Blizzard is becoming Activision 2 by the minute.

Did I mention this contains only the terran campaign and that the Protos and Zerg will all have their own CE? How money hungry can you get?
I'm just gonna point out the full name of the company is "Activision-Blizzard".

Expecting anything different from them at this point is just dumb.

That said, I actually really like the majority of the CE stuff. I'm ambivalent about the WoW pet, but everything else looks pretty badass, especially the USB reproduction of Raynor's dogtags. I'm definitely going to be getting it.

everyone saying the first one is a third of a game is incorrect. it is part 1 of 3, but it is not 1/3 of the entire game. all races will be playable in multiplayer right off the bat. considering the multiplayer to be 1 part, and the 3 campaigns to be 1 part each, it is technically half of a game.

also, i doubt blizzard would pull a ballsy move of trying to charge 60$ for each piece of the game. i predict 30 or 40 each for the next two parts of the game.

Riiiiight I think I'll stick DoW2 then. Thank you Blizzard for being such a money grabbing dicks. I bet next your going to ruin D3 for me by adding a monthly fee to its MP...

Did you saw the content of the CE? Also the game is 1/3 . They'll launch another 3 games god damn it .

Like I said , I'll probably buy ( the normal one ) anyway but I am just disappointed . We'll basically will end up paying 3x$60 bucks just to be able to play online after each xpac.
My understanding is that players have the entirety of the multiplayer unlocked from the getgo. They can play against anyone in multiplayer, no matter how many of the campaigns they've bought. It's solely the single-player campaign. I'm rather upset about that, since that's what's going to get the most use out of it, but such is life.

You do know S2 has a loading screen like WOW right? I'm in the beta , I should know.
If by loading you mean log-in, yes you are correct. I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be some sort of offline mode though, or at the very least you will only need an active connection to start the campaign. After all the bad press Ubisoft's shenanigans are getting, it's fairly likely they will not require a 100% active internet connection to play the single player portion.

You crazy. Each campaign is going to be $60, with a $100 collector's edition. It's ridiculous, but people (like me) will pay for it, thus that's what they'll charge.

$60 bucks for 1/3 of a PC game? This is madness!
I'll probably not get it, I mean that's a stupidly high price.

I don't get why Blizzard are so renowned, the only they have done recently is WoW and their RTS games are subpar compared to my favourites.

To hell with buying SC2 for me then. I mean honestly, that pricing is absurd.

People seem to forget how long the campaign is. It's almost 30 missions. THIRTY.
This is no indication of how long it will take an average player, familiar with RTS genre, to complete each mission.

If it means 25-30h of game play, great. Really, I'm no kidding.
If it means 10h of gameplay, then that sucks. Because we've also seen stupidly simple missions in RTS games before. This is also a possibility.

Perhaps I'm a bit of a cynic, but I try not to fall for the hype-trap.

Disappointment lays that way.

You are WAY over reacting. If you don't want it, don't buy it. I know I for one will buy it unless I'm having serious financial trouble.
How am I overreacting? Just because I don't think the game will necessarily be the gods greatest gift to mankind?

I'm saying that the 100$ CE package contains very little of actual usefulness and, in my mind, hardly worth the content of a 100$ package. I also think that a full-priced game ought to have the content of a full-priced game. We do not yet know if this is the case or not, as the game is yet to be released. The mission count can easily be misleading in terms of mission difficulty and mission lenght.

Nah , they can pull it out better than Ubisoft I'm sure . Remember Blizzard has a MMo with 11 million users . I doubt it's gonna be such a problem like Ubisoft ( which never had the capacity to host so many players in the first place).

Actually I'm pretty sure everyone can pull it out better than Ubisoft .

Meh I think i'll just stick to my plan (wait for them to release all 3 as a pack and for it to reach a reasonable price).
I have a hunch this may take a while.

Holy Shit, Valve charged $80 for their Half-Life 2 Special Edition and it only came with a crappy booklet, a T-Shirt, and a copy of Half-Life: Source? What a rip-off! And you know what makes it even worse? It's not even the full game, Valve are saying you gotta pay for "episodes" later on if you want to continue the story, like a cheap chump chimp. How money hungry can you get?

Those money grubbing sleaze balls! And it requires STEAM to boot, so you gotta sign in and run everything on STEAM whether you like it or not. This sort of draconian DRM is absurd!

GRRRRR, beware my self-righteous indignation!

It does say suggested price , but I really doubt they can cut out that much without losing shit loads of money.
