I...

That Grunt vid might have convinced me to play through ME3 again...

I haven't even done a run through for my FemShep, that's how much the ending killed it for me.
I know that feel bro. Somewhere done the line I wanted to do a FemShep play through, though I was kinda reluctant since I didn't want to go through ME1 again. Personally though, I don't think I can bring myself to get this. It'll just make the mood whiplash even worse. It just shows why I hate the ending, it goes against the tone of the entire series.

Yeah, I can see where you are coming from. I am a bit worried that I'll like the DLC and then be reminded that the franchise has a shit ending DX

If it's as good as they say though...

I have not played the Citadel DLC so I cannot comment on the quality of the character development but I just learned who the main villain is and...I'm worried you'll think I'm lying, because IMHO this was a really dumb idea. The villain is...an evil clone of Shepard who was created to act as backup parts in the project that brought Shepard back to life...SERIOUSLY!

Ok...maybe I'm in the wrong mindset, maybe I'm the only one who thinks this. Please vote on my poll and let me know if I'm in the majority or the minority here on this idea.
DOES IT HAVE A GOATEE!? Even if your shepard is female, it must have a goatee of EVIL!!!

Well fuck me, i think i finally found myself a reason to play Mass Effect 3!

Looks like Bioware managed to sneak this one out behind EA's back or something.

Then I yield to the opinion of those who have actually played it. Besides which, expecting any part of the game to make choices matter now is a bit naive of me.

Oh god, if that's actually true, it's probably the most unintentionally hilarious thing in the series. I need to see this.
Yeah, I was initially excited for more inter-personal character moments (best part of ME3 by far, IMO), and the DLC still may very well have plenty of those but... but...

Fuckin' REALLY? Evil twin, eh?

This is reaching Sonic '06 levels of "Oh god I have to see this shit for myself"

And then later, they derive more metahumor from the fact that every single Cerberus project can be summarized as, "Cerberus does something. It breaks free and kills a lot of Cerberus guys." Including the Lazarus Project.
This becomes even more hilarious as you realize the name "cerberus" is an absurdly mismatched name for them.

For the metaphorical guardians of the prison containing the most dangerous products of humanity, they really suck at their job.

Why can't we send the clone into the catalyst, waltz out and enjoy watching our clone does all the work and maybe provide a sequel hook?

And to be fair, as long as no OPERATIVES die in the job, they can care less about casualties, it is about the success of the experiments, not the welfare of the people working under Cerberus' payroll as a third party agent

I think your avatar's quite befitting most early responses I've seen. [sub][sub]Nothing further to add on this front.[/sub][/sub]

I don't think I'd hate this dlc. An evil clone is already a silly way to go about this. Hopefully, hilarity will ensue as things take a turn for the silly.

Speaking has someone who's played it, it's probably intentionally hilarious. And it was. The campiness was ramped up to 11, the humor was over 9000, this DLC by all means is a break from the po-faced demeanor of the game and a chance to make you smile. It's as if Joss Whedon wrote it or something, every other line of dialogue in it is begging for a wink at the camera. Trust me, it's A+ material.
I agree! It was more of a comedy relief than anything, I love the dialogues!!

Oh jeeze thanks, now I have to play this DLC god dammit.

I thought I was done with this game and now Bioware does something even stupider?

What if you play the renegade shep? Is the villain the good clone?

I played the DLC the moment it came out, and there was one point where you can see the clone barely but the screen she/he is on is all blurry. Normally I would have just ignored it, but you can still make out the hair/eye color so as soon as I realized it was Black and green like my Shepard I got super excited. Thought it might have been like, a long lost sibling or something at first (maybe the other gender Shepard?)

But yeah it sounds ridiculous on paper but it was really rather awesome IMO. The whole DLC was goofy, but for people who actually like the series, it was probably one of the best ways to finish it.

And just in case anyone else is a Lesbian: Traynor is the absolute best in this DLC. Number one.

Meh... I left Mass Effect 3 to rot on an external hard drive long ago and I'm not busting it out again for some fan service, especially now that I know that the final villain is completely silly. I was thinking maybe it would be something obscure like the Rogue Banking AI from the first game or maybe Conrad Verner finally snapped but no, they just cloned Palpatine Shepard... Ah well, I loved Mass Effect, but I made my goodbyes long ago.

Well since you aren't going to play it, I will let you know that at one point your Shepard taunts the clone by saying, "Even Conrad Verner makes a better Shepard than you!" I thought it was funny anyway.

If he had snapped though? Now THAT would have been an ending.

That's so redonk I may have to get this is my one and only ME3 DLC purchase. For those who have played it... is it worth it?
As someone who loathes the endings and has bought the DLCs to see if they are truly worth it: YES. This one actually does justify the higher-than-normal pricetag.

Wrex gets a lot of good lines, Javik actually gives a compliment to Shepard and there's some decent character interaction between the squadmates as well as extra bits for them after the Citadel mission is done including Blasto making an appearance and what may be Robin Sachs last performance as Zaeed trying to get a plush toy out of a claw-machine.

I haven't played it yet but it sounds like the Citadel DLC is meant to be humorous. From the Grunt video I saw I think I am going to purchase it when I get paid this week. It sounds great.

Either that or they really are a three headed dog, the only problem is two of them are involved in grooming their genitals at all times and the third one is playing with a squeaky toy. Alternately, their entire naming scheme is Bjorked, and the original point of the Lazarus project wasn't to resurrect Shepard, it was to kill Shepard, only, to do that, they'd need to bring him/her back from the dead so they could actually follow through.

But, on my half of the comment, I was seriously disappointed that Shepard didn't get a Mirror Spock Goatee regardless of gender, ala South Park.
