Just my individual opinion mate, I feel Half-life 1 held a better sense of immersion and scale.
The environment, the puzzles and the intense sense of abandonment and constant animosity was something that no other game has even come close to matching, for me, insofar.
Don't get me wrong, Half-Life 2 was f*cking brilliant but in my opinion, Half-Life 1 was the ground breaker
Oh you bastard. That's so unfair. I also notice you only put in one game that's not from before 2000.
The Zelda games are the reason I still buy Nintendo. And Half-Life just kicks ass. Final Fantasy 7 still has one of the best stories from the entire Final Fantasy Series. Mario is the second reason I still buy Nintendo.

Yes once again that's the point. btw E.T is not the worst game ever. in fact it's not that bad. The problem is, it's very confusing to play unless you have a guide. Being one of the very rare atari games you can beat, it was ok. Problem is when the chips were on the table no one wanted to buy.AutoPsychotic said:

Well, exept Final Fantasy 7 obviously.
Close between Sonic and Zelda, but I decided to go with Sonic because I don't think I purchased that game, which means I didn't think it was good enough to validate purchase. To me though, Zelda was a little overhyped, and in my opinion not as fun as Zelda 1. These are all good games though.
Half Life 2. It seems like quite a pretentious game to me because of all the physics puzzles. The vehicle sections were pretty bad to. Its still a very good game though, I'm not denying that, but whenever I play it I can't help but feel that Valve are just showing off.
I'd say Sonic the hedgehog three, since Sonic games were my least favorite on the list. . . But my personal hate goes to the Killzone game.
Why? Simple.
Because it's boring.
The story, the characters and even the hundreds of duplicated soldiers for the gameplay, make it a snore fest.

My favourite isn't there but I have no idea why but I have a despise towards Mario over nothing, so he gets my vote.
