I'd love a go at the Ratchet and Clanks purely for nostalgic reasons and Valkyria Chronicles, but not exactly worth getting a PS3 in my opinion. I still think it's a little overpriced. Good console none the less.

While I do like most of the games on that list, Ratchet and Clank I has been with me the longest and has always preformed well.
I would say that Resistance topped it in the initial version, but the second made me a little disappointed. Because they traded the multiple outrageous weapons for a more traditional FPS look. And then Killzone2 comes along and does a much better job with the online multi-player anyway.

its hard to say, between infamour or MGS4 but i voted MGS4 because it has the best graphics i have seen in a game (beside killzone) with a truely epic final chapeter
This is the main reason I bought my PS3. If it hadn't have been for the BluRay player, I probably would have just kept playing my PS2 for awhile longer.data_not_found said:
Eventually I would still have gotten it though due to loving the system and feeling a need to own them all, if only for a little while. If they don't stack up, I just give them to a family member or friend. So far I've never once even considered giving away my PS3. Can't say the same for my 360 and especially my Wii. If it wasn't for Mario Kart, it would have been gone long ago.
edit: Oh, and as for games, I'd probably go with MGS4 even though I've yet to play it.
I can't help you. If you're so into modern gritty morally ambiguous brown-and-gray FPSes that you can't appreciate R&C and it's less-than-serious additude...Mimsofthedawg said:

If you think that R&C is kiddy,then yes,you're probably right. But Resistance/Killzone/Gears of War/Madworld/etcetera are "mature" in a "blood and gore" sense,not in the sense of tackling serious issues. R&C series don't try either - they use humour to provide some enjoyment to the player. But since you enjoy Dark and Edgy route,i can't really blame you.
Hey,you know what? Try playing Ratchet: Deadlocked,it's not platformer but TPS,and it's closest thing series have to the modern standard of Darkness and Edginess (but is still unbelivably far from it).
Please note,that i haven't played any R&C games,and i don't even own a PS3 (hence this thread and the poll),but i am sure that Ratchet and Clank games are awesome.
...well. At least Ratchet does not say "Fuck" like it's on his word of the day calendar. That's the greatest part about those games - they don't try to be mature,edgy,and trendy. They are what they are - kiddy,funny,and enjoyable platformers.
I would consider LittleBigPlanet to be the face.
This may be a little off topic but I really want a Jak game for the PS3. If there was I would consider that out of my love for the series...
