The RPG-7.
Rocket Propelled Grenade-7
Actually the RPG is Russian for partable anti tank launcher
No, the RPG is a weapon system that possess the capacity to fire a number of different projectiles. Some are designed for anti-infantry work (HE Frag). Some are designed for anti-vehicle work (HE - AP). Some of the fancier ones (normally found for the RPG-29) are thermobaric - an explosive that carries a quantity of fuel that is atomized shortly before being ignited, the principle at play in other famous weapons like the MOAB or Daisy Cutter (both bombs used to rapidly create landing zones). While most any warhead maintains at least some capacity to harm things outside it's ideal target set, using an HE-AP round against infantry is a move of desperation as it's lethal radius is quite small. Likewise, HE frag can indeed rattle fancy bits off a tank, knock off a tred or even pierce light armor, but it's far less effective than it's HE-AP counterpart.

Basically, if there is a pariicular munition design philosopy or a particular munition function, one will be able to find an RPG round that fits the bill.

Also, RPG-Varient is the western naming system for the weapon, and the RPG does indeed stand for "Rocket Propelled Grenade". The closes american equivalent is the AT-4 (which replaced the LAW), which stands for Anti Tank (the four is just a model number in the same way as the M-16) and Light Anti-Armor Weapon respectively.

Hmm, really? Definitely the lock-on-rockets from Halo 2.
I was ten when i played that game, and it was incredibly satisfying watching someone drive away in terror as a rocket came screeching from behind them, ready to strike.

The pistol in Halo 3, Yes, halo 3.
Because the humiliation of killing someone with it gives me the glee that cannot be beaten by any other weapon (or at least until a crappier weapon is created)

Fallout 3: Best 2 weapons:

Hunting Rifle (ol' painless) followed by
The Terrible Shotgun
and, OBVIOUSLY, the fatman...feel the power...bit dissapointed that the explosion was the same as blowing up a car so not quite as special but....WOW
Well... Yes. But the fatman is more like an "instant win."

Last minute resort, "Hey, nothing else seems to phase you so I might as well just NUKE the fuck out of you."

IMO the hunting rifle - combat shotgun combo is the best combo for most fights, but yes... The fat man is the best gun since it just kills everything.

What's a polygon?
No dummies, it's a dead parrot.

Dedicated to Zack
A bit off topic but funny nonetheless.

Portal Gun, what's the point of killing them when you can send them hurdeling through infinity?
Why does that look like an actual model of the Portal Gun?

Personally I gotta say Lincoln's repeater from Fallout 3

There's just something satisfying about killing guys in advanced 23rd century power armor with a gun that's over 400 years old
Please tell me you say a snappy one-liner after every kill.

The green assault rifle in FEAR 1... I forget what it was called. It sounded good, it acted properly, and it got the job done. And whatever physics engine they used made enemy reactions look awesome instead of ridiculous.
