Poll: what if aliens invaded earth?

I'm reading the wordreference.com definition of invasion [http://www.wordreference.com/definition/invasion] and turns out some meanings don't imply an open hostility towards the "invaded".

What if the aliens come in peace, but decided to land on earth without us inviting them? That qualifies as an invasion, but they have no hostile intentions.
I would personally wait until the first shots are fired.

we can never fight them back i mean its just like we come with tanks to people who throw with rocks they can never win i mean come on if they have the technology to come to us they wel be well equipped with there super plasma guns and shields that can hold a nuke and a bullet is just a little piece of metal for them. so humanity is doomed in that case we will be slaves and i hate aliens but the only way to survive is to co-operate with them

Run away and come back once the battle is over.
If they invade then they don't want to destroy us (otherwise they would've bombarded us from space and left nobody alive), so obviously, once the fighting is over, the surviving humans will be forced into a new world order under alien rule.
And if the aliens are as intelligent as they'd have to be to cross the vast distances, the fighting would be over quickly, anyway.

I don't think aliens hate us all that much. And yes, I do believe they exist. I just think they regard us as either objects of curiosity with potential to grow better, or as just test subjects. Otherwise, they would have made some sort of conclusive contact other than a couple hundred thousand sightings.

I think that if aliens wanted to destroy us they would have done so by now. Besides, we're doing a hell of a job destroying ourselves- global warming anyone?

I probably wouldn't enlist in the army because of two reasons. One I'm too young. Secondly if they're attacking there's no time to train soldiers. So I would grab a sniper rifle and snipe the green ooze out of them!!!

You know, all of the gung-ho Rambo types looking to nuke any UFOs on the horizon really isn't helping our case if the aliens ARE watching us. We should probably try to convince them that we're not all trigger-happy if we actually want to establish contact.

one problem if aliens use us as a experiment than we will get killed if we get to strong and smart, and maybe they see only the beginning of our planet because it takes more than millions of years until the light of us reach them so we cant see each other so we think they don't exist and they haven't discovered us so if we see there planet it might already be destroyed

maybe aliens are not in the same form as us i mean we are just a solid mass but maybe they are liquid or plasma. or even made of metal
and if they can control space time than we will have almost 0 chance to survive because they can just appear in our safest and strongest vaults and bunkers
so i hope that they aren't coming. so i hope a nuke apocalypse before the aliens come and the satellites with a map with the place were we live in space and anatomy of the human body is a very stupid idea

Considering we humans easily can destroy our whole planet but haven't put a person on another 'planet' than the moon and the aliens found a way to go faster than light and what's physically possible... we're pretty much screwed.

I would become a spy for humanity and over time, I would start smuggling some of their technology over to the military for study.

I'd had, at my friend's ranch house/gun range. There is also a plethora of cars/atv/motorcycles around the ranch, probably about 40 of them, plus a school bus.

I'd like you to all be aware, those first two guns are indeed .50 cal rifles.
There is a mini gun peaking out in the back that is rated at 3500 rounds a minute.
If you look at the tip of the barrel of the mini gun and see the goldish leg, that is part of a tripod for the type of gun that is mounted on a helicopter bay door, sorta like this one.
