I am bit confused. Is this a thread more for what you would use as an improvised weapon, or is it about what could be the most usefull tool that isn't a weapon?

A crowbar is extremely handy, but after seeing what it can do to a human skull on the Mafia vs Yakuza episode of Deadliest Warrior (not sure how gangsters qualify as "warriors" but ok) I go baseball bat all the way!

Sledge Hammer is the most damaging and easiest to find of non-weapons that I can think of.

I am really questioning just how much of a "non-weapon" a sledgehammer actually is. Honestly it isn't a farcry from a warhammer!

I do have a paintball gun, and some paintballs that I could put in the freezer. . .

It is a grey area I'll admit but a sledge hammer is an industrial tool located in any hardware store. Easy to acquire, not designed for combat and powerful. If I couldn't find one i'd go for a large, heavy pipe then, or a tire iron which is pretty easy to find.

in the wardrobe I have an acoustic guitar, might smash up pretty easily, but then i have a jagged, splintery pointy end. So I'm starting there, with the sonic screwdriver for badass feel, and getting myself to the kitchen. Hopefully there I can rig up the food processor blades and knives etc into something awesome. Then, to my local gunshop, only a 20 minute adrenaline fuelled run away. Plan! I guess that'd be weapons by the end though. Still, guitar and kitchen finds then.

I would be going completely Non-Weapon and just be all like fast paced Non-Weapon action, anything I seen I would use and everyone would be dead...EVERYONE except my friends and somehow I would end up using them as Non-Weapon weapons.

I'd walk around with a livewire held in front of me, frying anything that got too close. That should sort out the bastard hunters and jockeys. The other hand is free for waving at the people I've saved, smoothing my hair back etc.

No, really, I own a lightsaber. Well, it's more of a broom stick covered with green duct tape and with a bike handle cover on the end, but it's heavy and could crack a skull!

I'd bash zombies with lamps or crowbars until i found something better to make them dead with. I'd probably run to the nearest redneck and plead for access to his gun collection at the soonest possible opportunity, though.

Or maybe, like the Heavy, I'd just use my fists (they're made of steel).

I would probably use a bow, its quiet, and you can get about 15 feet from the zombie, and at that point, you really can't miss, but you aren't close enough to be grabbed like with a hand weapon, then you could just retrieve the arrow.

I'd use the sub par bow I had until I could loot something better.

I'd also bring a crowbar, more for practicality of it's prying power than a weapon, but in a pinch, I could stab a zombie in the eye-area with the non-hooked end of it (which I would sharpen to the best of my ability)

Non weapon i think i would count a bow as a weapon.

anyway for me it would be my cooking! nothing harder and more deadly than that

I have it for recreation, not hunting or combat, so I count it

so if i hung a gun on the wall i could count it as a non weapon? maybe a sword or a battleaxe as well......

Who cares, I think the purpose of this thread is more to say "what stuff around your house would you use" and even if it isn't, I'm not going to overlook my bow if a zombie apocalypse occurs.
