Totodile, but thats just because Feraligatr is my favorite water pokemon, probably ever. I almost always go for the fire starters, but Growlithe's are available early in the game.

O_O...I had no idea. When can you get a growlithe in Gold? How soon?

This thread got me thinking.Some people like me have breed out a decent party of starters already.I for one have had rotten luck in the underground of finding a root fossil and really wanted to get a lileep. Does anyone wanna trade friend codes and trade me one for one of egg hatched snorlax's,larvitars, or anything else i might have if you do message me and we could work it out.

But in all other versions, my bro had the opposite, so we were able to trade over and get all 3 starter pokemon.

My started in Silver, which was my first Pokemon game ever. And he is my favorite game ever. Easily.

And he's the spiritual successor to Charmander, the single greatest pokémon, ever.

then again the uk arceus event in my area is less than a week before the release of HS/SS {I'll bew buying SS by the way} so second rattata i catch will be traded for it from platinum.

but apparently you can get it on pearl diamond and platinum so there will be people running around with a minimum of 3 arceus. woohoo.

That depends on how you look at it.
Thanks to the weird ass anime cartoon show children jumped onboard pikachu and all the parents let them, thus growing the preputation of pokemon as a kiddy thing.
The games for GameBoy and now DS, however, are amazing RPGs with an addiction level of YAY high (Must. Catch. Em. All. and only a few more levels until my thing evolves in to a stronger thingie and holy crap I need to get up for school in 2 hours...)

Before you have to fight the first gym even, if you walk through the first town, there's a small patch of grass where they appear randomly! Near where sudowoodo is if i remember correctly.

Cyndaquil.

I can catch passable water Pokemon by the boatload as soon as I get a Good Rod, and this being Johto, I eventually find wild Woopers.

Grass? Sunkerns out the ass.

But Fire? Fire is hard to find.

Besides...have you not SEEN Cyndaquil? He's fucking adorable!

This is true, but in Johto apparently you can get Growlithe really early...

I am not really going to transfer anything from Diamond, since I don't want the game to be too easy...BUT I am giving Heart Gold a Munchlax egg. Snorlax is my favorite Pokemon and I want him in my party, but I don't feel right not getting him from his first evolve form.

if I had to pick I'd go for Cynadquil, cute to slick to ferocious in 36 levels, but fuck how it was meant to be played, I'm having a Beldum
