Kotor. Hands down.

There is no possible way any other Star Wars game even matches up to it.

Republic Commando!!!
Damn you ninjas!
Yeah, I loved KoToR, but Republic Commando is just...well...republic commando.
It's a good look at the war from the clone's view (plus has one of the best video game novel series ever...except Traviss had to stop Imperial commando due to Lucas changing the canon)
doesn't really entirely on lightsabers, has some inventive weapons and SEV.
Freakin' SEV!
Scorch too...
Your poll should be amended.
And they need to get on a new Republic Commando, except the damn canon change made madalorians (by extension, this clone squad) a bunch of pussies.

Personally, I'd say the first KOTOR is my favorite. It's the most immersive Star Wars experience I have ever had in a video game, and the story is nothing short of masterful.

Tie Fighter is a very close second. Not only was it a blast to fight for the Empire (it was the first Star Wars game to allow players to do so), but the gameplay was solid and it had an intriguing story of duty and betrayal to boot.

X-Wing Alliance gets honorable mention for refining the formula of the X-Wing series and expanding upon it. What's more, there's a fan-made mission editor you can download to make your own missions and campaigns (provided you're willing to spend a few hours to tinker with the program and read a tutorial or two).

I never really enjoyed KotOR.. I got bored of it for some reason. =/ Loved every other Bioware game I've tried, too. Also, the RTS was Empire At War. Which was.. okay.
Best one.. tricky. I had a lot of fun on Jedi Academy.
TOR looks amibitious and could be epic.

I'm gonna go for Empire at War.. if it has certain epic mods I liked. Like increasing the pop limit. Or making each starship actually to scale with each other and the star destroyers being epic. And the expansion included. (Since ground combat was.. sub-optimal. And really, Empire was only fun one). Oh, and conquest was fun.

Damnit, now I wanna play it. Where'd I put that disc case...

i cant decide between both kotors, the battlefront series (which i am desperate for a sequel to that isnt on god damn psp) and jedi academy. i have put so many hours into all of them that i honestly can not choose and to force me to do so would be torture.

Well i've played alot, but theres three, for the retro fans there's the classic SNES trilogy, for RPG fans KOTOR is amazing, but for general tactical shooter gamers, Battlefront 2 is the best choice.

I hear amazing things about KoTOR but I've never played it. I've never had a system I could play it on.

OT: My favorite Star Wars game was Rogue Squadron 2 on the Gamecube. I loved that game. Lego Star Wars is second. Had some good times with that game.

I actually can't decide between KOTOR, Acadamy, Battlefront, and Commando.
I adore Star Wars, completely and utterly. Absolutely love the idea of it, and I want a Men of War style RTS for Star Wars.

I'd go for:

1) KOTOR 1
2) Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight
3) Jedi Academy
4) Battlefront 1
5) X-Wing vs Tie Fighter

How do you figure? It's Battlefield 1942 with Star Wars skins, weapons and worlds (in fact scuttlebutt has it that it was inspired by a mod for BF1942 that did exactly that). Not that I don't think its fun, but I wouldn't call it a new concept, just one that Star Wars hadn't done before then.
Hmm I've never played Battlefield 1942 but did you have a reinforcement counter at the top, option to select a more powerful leader after a while and have to capture control points to spawn from?

Knights of the Old Republic.
Really, it was the first RPG I played that I loved, and that games the reason why I play so many RPGs today.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. I had so much fun playing both single player and multiplayer. Story is pretty damn good.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
Although this is probably bias from me considering it's the only Star Wars game I have ever played.
Still bloody good though.
