In DoW, probably the marines. Anywhere else, either the Tau, or the Orks on account of their hilarity.

The Necron's. They are simply death incarnate. Regenerating, robotic undead that once nearly wiped out all life in the galaxy. If they manage to seize a planet, not even microscopic organisms would survive the genocide.

Although I admit the unit variety they have is much less than, say, what Chaos or the Orks posses, what they do have is impressive to say the least.

Also, their tech is badass. FTL travel without the need of the Warp, lasers that strip an organisms skin atom by atom, near indestructible moving pyramids. What isn't there to like?

Plus, any race whose mere presence on worlds make the Tyranid hive fleets actively avoid them is something more than just your average Greenskin or Heretic.

Space Marines Charge into combat wielding machine guns that shoot rockets, Prance around in impenetrable armour and fall from the skies in metal drop pods of doom.

The Imperial Guard on the other hand have basic run of the mill rifles, Wear Flak armour which in the WH40K world is next to useless and use mere parachutes. THEN they are ordered to face the Imperiums most horrifying enemies with insurmountable odds. They do this and Win.

Then those sissy Space Mahreens!!!1!!1!1one!!! show up and steal all the glory.

So I ask you, who is the braver?

I agree, plus all the tanks and sheer numbers is awesome. Whats up with those little dwarf guys with the sniper rifles, I've only ever seen one used.

I love IG for one main reason. Apart from the few commanders like Gaunt the typical IG tactic is. "If I just throw my entire force at the enemy, not caring for tactics or the well being of my troops, will they kill all of the enemy before I run out of troops?" Hell if he goes in with a army 10 million strong and comes out with 5 troops (no matter their condition) and a lopped off tank turret then its still considered a win. Bastard will probably be given a medal for his masterful tactics.

I think your thinking of Ratling snipers no? Yeah you can use them in an Imperial Guard Army but Squats were an entire army of Dwarfs.

I recently turned to Chaos, and by the gods, it's wondrous. It's everything cool about the imperium but even more dark and twisted. My favourite model in the game, though, is the Penitent Engine, and that's Witch Hunters. The Witch and Daemon hunters need more love.

B.T.W. I hate daemons. It's rare to see one modeled that actually looks terrifying or even dangerous. The Forgeworld ones are better.
